Brilliant stay in Oakey Cottage

Lovely cosy cottage with everything you need, perfect location to the village and base to go and visit other nearby villages. So handy having the driveway for car too. Breakfast was lovely and staff so friendly

Only thing we didn’t like was the double bed in the main bedroom. We just found it so uncomfortable, so instead we went into the top bedroom and pushed the single beds together as these were much comfier. Other than that, couldn’t complain about anything

It was advertised as having two bathrooms when it had one. It was advertised as having one extra large double bed, when it was a queen. It was uncomfortable also.

Great location, beautiful cottage. Will return.

Cottage was very clean and well equipped. Very roomy, downstairs loo, full bathroom on 1st floor & Roomy Bedroom on 1st floor with its own toilet & basin. 2nd floor 2 single beds in pleasant room. Spotlessly clean linen & towels. Parking for 2 cars right out the front of the cottage. Great Breakfast next door. All staff that we saw were very friendly and keen to provide an exceptional service. Ate at the Venezia on the Saturday evening, food was amazing.

Could do with another comfy chair in lounge. We carried in an armchair from out of dining area so 4 could sit comfortably. Double bed a bit rocky and squeaky! Mattress was uncomfortable but just put a fluffy throw under fitted sheet to help. Steep stairs to 2 nd floor and need to negotiate these in the middle of the night if you need the bathroom.

It is a very cute cottage. The kitchen was well stocked with all the general items you would require. The shower was powerful and clean. The towels and bed linen was of a high standard. The property was well presented on arrival.

Unfortunately the double bed was very squeaky which kept both my husband and I awake quite a bit throughout the night.

Perfect cottage

The location was perfect with a big parking space outside. The cottage was perfect for our family with everything we needed. The breakfast was perfect and exactly what we needed to start our days walking and exploring the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

The included breakfast and service next store were both fantastic!

Couldn't find the plug to get the fan in the upstairs bedroom working. It ended up being kind of hot upstairs a couple of evenings, but otherwise the place was great! We didn't have any hot water at first, but I was able to figure out what the issue was and then we had as much as we needed. Perhaps add a note on the living room table describing what needs to be done to turn on the hot water and where to find the plug for the fan for future guests?

A perfect cottage in a perfect location

Loved everything about the house, the location, the breakfast and the staff. What can I say?? It was all perfect.

The cottage was a little expensive compared to other cottages we've stayed in but it was by far the best. The only addition I would have appreciated in self-catering accommodation would have been laundry facilities...a washer/dryer would have been the "icing on the cake".

Excellent location and breakfast was very good. The whole property was immaculate and was incredibly clean. Everything we needed for our stay was provided.

We loved our stay but if we were staying any longer then proper arm chairs would make the stay more comfortable and the TV stations were limited. This didn’t make a difference to us.
