We liked that everything was provided for us, to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The cottage was very well furnished, and equipped. The cleanliness was 10/10. Although situated next door to a pub, it was extremely quiet. A short walk to shops and restaurants. Everyone in village was friendly and helpful.
I could not improve on what was offered. Our party of 4 adults and a 6yr old, had a really lovely time.

This is a very pretty cottage set back from the road with handy parking right outside. We loved the location being so close to the centre and having a fabulous Pub next door. It was great having two bathrooms with one on each floor and a bedroom on ground floor level and two upstairs which suited our family very well. The kitchen diner made for great family meals and the separate lounge seated everyone comfortably - an ideal 60th Birthday Celebration with Family. A bonus being walkable to the Hawkstone Brewery Bar! The arrival food treats were a lovely touch.
Everything was fabulous!

Our first impression was that the cottage was very cosy, clean and welcoming- a great start to any stay. It was stocked with tea, coffees, milk and sugar. There was also a welcome hamper stocked with local produce (including Diddly Squat items) All 3 bedrooms were decorated nicely and the beds were comfortable. The dining table was laid which was a nice touch. The temperatures dropped the day we arrived but the cottage was just the right temperature. It was very close to the centre (about a 5/10 minute walk) and there were plenty of places to eat. We couldn’t use the dishwasher as the tray was stuck but the hosts responded very quickly and offered to come and take a look which is exactly the response you would hope for! We would recommend.
Be careful of the low ceiling going from the kitchen to the dining room and especially going from the downstairs bedroom where it is very low. There is a warning going from the other way but my 6ft 1 husband hit is head quite badly going the other way! There is also a low step which kept catching us out until we put our own reminder!
It would have been good to have a spare loo roll.

Perfect location. Within a short walk from main attractions but nice to be in a quiet part, away from the crowds. Next door to a lovely pub, the Mousetrap, where we had an excellent Sunday lunch.
Banging our heads (two of us), despite the 'mind your head' sign.

The host was friendly and helpful. She left us a gift basket upon arrival. There was an information booklet about the town and surrounding area.
There was nothing we didn't like.

Beautiful house with just about everything you could possibly need, just a short walk into town
Some cheeky random took one of the parking spaces while we were out(not ideal as we had two cars), some private parking signs might be an idea

We had an amazing time at Woodbine Cottage. The property was clean and comfortable, perfectly situated up the road from the centre of Bourton on Water. We were slightly worried originally about the pub next door being potentially noisy, but this wasn't an issue. The property is slightly detached from it and we didn't hear a sound! Would definitely stay again.

Great location, really lovely cottage.
Because we were there for Christmas the cottage had been set up for it i.e. there was a christmas tree, crackers, candy canes, table all set up for Christmas dinner, stars etc.
It comes down to personal choice - I would prefer harder mattresses and miss having a bath but these are really minor!!! Would be great if it had a bigger freezer but again this is because we were staying for nearly a week so would have appreciated it. Other guests may not need it because of shorter durations.

Lovely cottage, ideally sited for easy walking access to Bourton-on-the-water and its attractions and restaurants, pubs, shopping etc. A great little welcome hamper plus tea, coffee, milk, etc. Easy parking out front for one car, which was all we had (a bit of a squeeze for two, perhaps?), Good sized double bedrooms with upstairs and downstairs shower & toilet rooms. Good kitchen off dining area, next to comfortable lounge. We are used to old cottages with limited headroom (all but one of us between 5'10'' and 6'5'') and Woodbine has a number of places where we soon learned when to duck! Would definitely consider visiting in the future.
A number of lights in the kitchen needed replacing and the lights on the stairs weren't working (despite a number of comments about this in the visitors' book - if you're going to have one then at least read it!). There was no handrail on the steep stairs, which could be an issue for frailer people, although not for us. But combined with no stair lights made us cautious going up and down.

Excellent location- close to all local attractions by short walk. Host was very friendly and available anytime. Very handy to have milk, sugar, tea, coffee etc already to start off with.
Entrance pathway garden not maintained as overgrown and difficult to walk through especially with elderly parents. Hence too many bees, flies etc. coming into the cottage when windows are open. Also might be useful to have fans in all the rooms especially in the summer with the current heatwave. It would be useful to have instructions on how to use the electric cooker to cook as not very easy to operate.

we rented the Ivy Cottage at the same time
as a family and for value for money the Ivy is so much better, bigger and maintained. the third bedroom is very small.

it is very nice cosy cottage situated in great location. was pretty quiet even though it is right next to a tavern. well equipped cottage and electric fireplace was amazing! it is very spacious. staff is amazing and quick to respond.
the cottage needs some refurbishment. floor was creaky when we walked on second floor. it would have been fantastic if there weren’t crawling bugs (harmless but my niece was terrified).
