A spacious house, very well located within a good walking distance to the village. The House is also well equipped for an enjoyable family stay.
The showers have a problem. We were not able to temper the water temperature. That said, the water was extremely hot and there is no way to change that. We have contacted the management team and they were there but not able to fix the problem. Apparently, there is the need for a technical intervention of a plumper. It is said that this “detail” has damaged our stay, but this is more than fair to comment.

We booked for a family Christmas as we had family in Stow. So the proximity was the main reason for booking
The property was very dirty, there was mould and cobwebs. Blood spots on the carpet.
The plumbing was poor, not able to get cold water out of the bath tap and the showers had intermittent flow. The pump was very noisy and worst of all it was only possible to get one shower before running out of hot water. (6 adults and a baby in the house)
There were dog hairs on the bed linen when we first arrived.
In the lounge three dining chairs were not usable as they were very wobbly and there were two settees so only 4 people could sit at one time.
The kitchen pans were rusty and one fridge was unusable.

Great location just 10 mins walk to Bourton on the Water. Ample off street parking for 3 cars. 2 x ensuite bedrooms (1 x superking dbl and 1 x twin) and 2 further bedrooms sharing a bathroom (1 x twin and 1 x compact single). Plus an additional downstairs WC. Great layout for a group of friends, spacious communal areas downstairs. Pet friendly with secure/small garden. Good dog walks from the doorstep. Very comfortable beds. Efficient heating. Cosy lounge / dining room with spacious conservatory. Friendly and flexible management team and a nice welcome pack!
House was a bit scuffed around the edges and could do with a bit of TLC/deep clean/re-decoration. Bathrooms will need to be upgraded soon

Great location. Cosy and Comfortable. Parking for 3 cars was very useful.
The house is in need of some maintenance here and there. Better cooking facilities would have been useful particularly clean pans and a working dish washer.

The cottage was big (maybe even too big given that our kids chose to share a room.
The common spaces are super cozy.
The location is great.
Nothing. The only downside of the cottage is the kitchen, which, despite being very big and comfortable for our needs. Did not feel entirely clean and could use some refurbishment. However, this did not affect our stay or enjoyment in any way.

The location is absolutely perfect for all the sightseeing locations in the Cotswold, especially Bourton on the Water.

Very easy to find, short distance to the centre of the village. Lots of space.
Just needs a door matt, we were conscious of accidentally bringing dirt in from the outside.

Host left a welcome pack of milk, bread, butter and eggs
Garden area could do with some attention

It was very centrally located, a beautiful walk into the village, it was spotlessly clean
The interior is a little bit dated. The curtains were not very secure and very old-fashioned. Could do with a little facelift and modernisation. There was a lot of racket when you turned on the water or the shower and also when the heat come on, very noisy.

Position, literally 10mins by walk away from Bourton centre. Very beautiful cottage, which fit a family of 8. We had a real good time.
Nothing I didn’t like, we just had problem at the beginning with hot water. We didn’t had hot water for the whole first morning but the guy who manage the house, came by and fixed it

A beautiful, spacious and well-equipped house with spacious rooms, an equipped kitchen and a nice garden. The location is very close to the town center where there are restaurants and shops. The contact with the host was excellent through the app
Everything was wonderful. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time there

Spacious inside and good parking. Lots of bathrooms and beds. The conservatory gives good room for multiple conservations amongst the family.
Back room is a bit musty and the garage (where the washer is) is even more so.

Place was well kept ... Almost close to the main city centre...
Well nothing much i disliked about the place ....yes one thing would like to put in front of the owner ...the water pressure while taking the shower was very less....rest all was good 😊

The cottage was clean and comfortable. We were able to get in before the advertised time. It is within walking distance of Bourton on the Water. The kitchen was adequately equipped for 5 of us although we didn't actually do any cooking.
The water pressure was not good in the double ensuite or the family bathroom. The showers were weak and the toilet paper did not flush away first time. The sitting room only comfortably sat 4 adults but we were able to move a chair from the conservatory.

The location was excellent and the house was a good size for a group of 7 and a dog!
Plenty of space and the beds were nice and comfortable
We did some cooking and did feel that for a group of 7 we could have done with a few more big pans. Apart from that the kitchen was well stocked

The house is excellently located for access to the high street and for attractions (such as the bird sanctuary). The facilities are excellent and it made our trip even more relaxing.

There were 3 bathrooms + downstairs loo, and enough bedrooms to sleep 3 couples. Extra spaces downstairs too. It was a comfortable, convenient and warm space to spend 2 nights with friends. Good walking distance into Bourton-on-Water, great places there to eat in the evening.
It's not a place with a great atmosphere or style, but doesn't pretend to be! A few missing items in kitchen - eg. Egg cups, bread board.

Elvington cottage had all the amenities of home and made for a big comfortable space with our group and doggy. The check in process was easy, and communication with the owner was great! There was butter, eggs, coffee, milk, and sugar all left for us to use, the beds were all big and comfortable, and there were some great walking paths behind the house that took us through some beautiful parts of the Cotswolds. The location was perfect - close enough to walk into Bourton on the water but far enough away where it wasn’t noisy. We loved using the BBQ, sitting outside, and had family dinners every night together. Its perfect for kids (highly recommend the Wildlife park in Buford, the small playground with a zip line in Bourton) and groups of people coming together for a relaxing weekend. This house had a lot of charm and decor, including games for the kids to play, a mini library, and a tiny bathroom under the stairs. I would come back and stay here for every visit! We loved it.
With a house this size, it’s understandable that check in time is later than normal (5pm) and check out is earlier (10am) than some of other to accommodate for cleaning. The owner communicated with us as soon as it was ready and we were able to get in much earlier seller than planned! He offered to let us park when we arrived there as well.

lovely spacious home and a very thoughtful welcome pack left for us. comfortable beds and clean.
The property is very dated, no egg cups and we repeatedly had to go into the garage where the fuse board was as the upstairs power kept tripping. A bit upset that I got a text the day I arrived telling me I was checking out the next day when I had booked for 2 nights.

It was comfortable and clean with plenty of space to relax and enjoy time with the family. Nice touch having a Christmas tree. It was near enough to walk into town and enjoy the lovely scenery.
My only concern was that there weren't enough pots and pans and baking dishes for a large group or family, we nearly had a roast potato panic for Christmas dinner 😂
