Had a lovely stay at Cedar Cottage the house was very comfortable and in the very hot weather stayed cool inside which was great. It suited our needs perfectly.

The cottage was lovely, clean and comfortable. Though 100m from an industrial estate, it was quieter than the hustle and bustle of Bourton on the Water village (20 min walk), good for our dogs though. My boys loved Hawkshead Brewery, just a ten minute walk away. Very nice beer. The cottage could do with some comfortable garden chairs to sit on at night, as the weather was glorious while we were there and the chairs on the patio were uncomfortable. I would still recommend this cottage to friends and family.

The house itself was okay, but the location was disappointing. It was only a 20-minute walk to Bourton-on-the-Water or The Slaughters, which was good, but it was on the edge of an industrial estate and a large housing estate. This wasn’t what I had imagined when I thought of a cottage in the Cotswolds. We requested a check-in time earlier than 5 pm, but they offered us 4:30 instead. It was disappointing not to have a welcome pack, even if it was just a few coffee pods and some milk. We stay in holiday cottages two to three times a year, and this was the first time this hadn’t been provided. The garden was overgrown, and the garden furniture looked tied. We would have put out the bins, but the gate was padlocked and looked like it had been locked for a while because the bins were overflowing. On the morning we were leaving, someone turned up and emptied the bins and gave the grass a quick mow. It was a shame that this wasn’t done before we arrived, because the weather was lovely while we were there, but the garden wasn’t very inviting to spend time in.

We booked Cedar Cottage last minute as Sykes Cottages cancelled our booking at the last minute, and while it wasn't the idyllic cottage in the Cotswold that I had hoped for, it was a very warm, cosy and comfortable retreat. We were a party of 4 adults (2 couples) and found the house to be the perfect size. Could be a bit tight with 6 adults. It was well equipped and contained everything we needed (basic instructions for the oven would be helpful). Being a new build it was modern, in excellent condition and warm with plenty of parking. The house is well located on the edge of Bourton on the Water with easy access to the town and lots of different walks. It is on the edge of the industrial / retails area so can be a bit noisy, imagine more so in the week. The cleaning company were our point of contact and were very helpful and allowed us an early check in at no extra charge. A couple of things to note: the ensuite toilet has no lid. Needs replacing!! Well established cobwebs in several rooms. Needs new garden furniture before the summer. Overall it was excellent value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

All good, Nice and clean, with everything we needed for the weekend. Location is OK - a 20 min walk into Bourton, but very convenient for Hawstone Brewery. Instructions and access were all straightforward too.
