the location
the decor and furnishings
coffee machine and well stocked kitchen
cosy feel
the advertised hamper for two night stay was missing then topped up with eggs, oil and bath foam: this didn’t see like a hamper
there was no ice tray freezer compartment in the fridge: no ability to make ice for drinks
the sugar bowl was filled with washing powder granules which was an unexpected surprise : perhaps a previous guest made a mistake
the tv was difficult to turn on and off
the electric shower was a little weak

This property feels like home. A welcome basket is a bonus. A short walk to the 'town' where all the restaurants and the river are.
The house is facing the road so it is a bit noisy with the cars passing by. We wake up early so this is not an issue but if you are a light sleeper or like to lie in then this might be an issue.

Size of the property for our family of four, facilities, clean linen and proximity to the village center
No control over heating, seemed to be too controlled by owners hence a bit uncomfortable for us. No welcome hamper was available, even when it says in the booking.

We fell in love with Lansdowne Cottage! Everything about it ticked all of our boxes and made for a lovely girls weekend away. It was so well appointed and cosy that we almost didn't want to go out for dinner! The lounge area with the gas fire was so warm and inviting that we spent hours there. The kitchen is also well appointed so eating in was an option.
Have to recommend the pub next door for food which was divine and they also gave us a discount when we mentioned we stayed at the Lansdowne Cottage, bonus!
There was parking outside for one car and everything is walkable.
The information provided by the host was thorough and well thought out.
Location of the key was easy to find.
We would definitely recommend stay here!
Nothing, the cottage is amazing!

The cottage was very pretty! It had a lovely homely feel and it was nice to relax in it! The bed was nice and comfortable and all of the facilities were good! The owners, as ever, were accommodating and very very friendly!
If I really had to choose something, I would say that the TV was a little temperamental at times.

There is only one fan in the property and not enough to keep the cooling of two rooms. Overakl the flat is clean.

When we arrived the property looked clean initially. The whole place especially the sofas need a deep clean. Within an hour we felt very itchy. The bed linen was clean but the duvets were full of stains and spiders everywhere. No WiFi 90% of our stay. No hot water. TV doesn’t switch off at back need to move to and switch off at socket behind the unit. Parking very restricted at front, car hanging over onto footpath and road and blocked any access to bins.
No WIFI
No hot water
Needs a serious deep clean with sodas and carpets.
Change duvets and pillows as a serious issue with stains

Everything. The cottage was very comfortable and felt like home. The basket of goodies was amazing. Met Casey and Corinne who were lovely and nothing too much trouble. Would return again and again.

LOCATION
BIT DARK AND SMALL

Excellent location for exploring the Cotswolds and Bourton-on-the-Water (just a 5-minute walk to the town center). The cottage is beautifully presented, very well-equipped, and spotlessly clean. The hosts provide a small but thoughtful welcome basket with a few essential items, which is a lovely gesture and very helpful for guests arriving at the property.
The house is not very easy to find and could be better signposted at the entrance gate. The hosts respond to messages, but are not reachable by phone.

The property was really clean and very cosy.
Welcome basket was a nice touch.
The surrounding area was lovely.
The pub next door serves really good food and staff very welcoming and helpful.
Directions were rubbish. I had to call a member of staff who was off duty and no answered office phone. Bit stressfull after a long drive.
WiFi wasn't good at all and this also affected TV reception.
Would have liked a blind on bathroom window for more privacy.

We loved everything about this cottage, it was cosy, warm & situated in a prime location! We will definitely be returning! The welcome basket was perfect and very thoughtful so it was greatly appreciated. Thank you :) The instructions for the key box were clear & concise. We loved everything!
The parking as noted was literally suitable for a small car, I have a seat Ibiza and the car was only slightly not overhanging. Keep your eyes peeled for the cottage sign on the actual fence in front of the property.
Also there isn't a freezer so just a little note that it may be worth adding somewhere.
Other then that, everything was perfect.

Charming cottage with a homely feel. Very neat and clean. Sufficiently well stocked with essentials and with all useful appliances.
The staff was ultra responsive and attentive.
The wi-fi was quite erratic so if one is looking to get some work done or make data calls it can be an issue. Mobile signal is also generally poor in the area.

Non existent. Better that your survey actually reflects the place you are asking feedback in, instead of generic questions including those of no relevance.
TV didn't work, had to ring to get explanation of what was wrong. This should have been included in explanation pack.
Heating only on for short periods, even though you can override to some extent.
Parking space much appreciated, but very small.

I liked that it was within walking distance to the village and that it came with parking right outside the property. We had a MG SUV and that car fitted in the car space. The bed was comfortable and it was a very quiet area so we had a good nights sleep. We had dinner at the old new inn and I would recommend that Pub
The apartment was cosy and had everything that you needed if you did want to cook.

very clean, quiet little cottage secure courtyard for my dog
I found it hard to find in the dark, google maps takes you further up the lane to number 2. one of the arm chairs had a broken leg so we couldn’t use it but I had plenty of sitting space anyway

The location was good
Uncomfortable chairs that wets stained. TV remote needs new batteries. The radiator in the double bed bedroom doesn't work. The heating did not work on our arrival so I made contact and the young girl arrived within minutes could not rectify the problem so phoned the plumber who did not answer. She then went away and returned within the hour and sorted the issue.

Location a short walk from the main village.
Property available any time after 3pm.arrived half past 3 property not cleaned towels in bath bedding bundled on beds, but unable to get a response from the property contact number despite numerous calls and texts over our 2 day stay. Also, unable to access Wi fi using password in handbook. contacted Booking com direct which brought a brilliant response from the staff of another company property close by, they also gave us the correct Wi-Fi password, All this was compounded by a poor telephone signal. The rest of the stay was perfect.

The cottage location was perfect, right in town so walking distance to everything local. The decor and rooms were attractive & immaculate. The welcome gift basket and milk in the fridge a nice touch. Contacting Gemma was easy with speedy replies. We would definitely return if we go that way again so can wholeheartedly recommend.
