Perfect little house in the heart of the Cotswolds.

Beautiful little 2 bedroom house that was in a great location. We visited in winter so didn’t use the garden, but it was well maintained and comfortable for sitting and having afternoon drinks or reading. There were basics such as salt and pepper, coffee and washing pods for both the washer and the dishwasher, which was nice. Also, they had dog treats and things to help visitors with a dog, kept under the sink. The second toilet was handy (under the stairs). Communication from the owners was a nice touch as well.

Perfect location and house for a wholesome stay in the Cotswolds ❤️

Perfect size for me and my boyfriend with our dog. The location is excellent with a small walk into Bourton. Spacious bedrooms and good facilities. Good parking as well, we were able to fit two cars! In the draws under the TV is a little book about walks to do in the Cotswolds and there is a fab one right nearby! I think it was pages 64/65, it takes you on a loop from Bourton through to upper and lower slaughter and then back to Bourton. Great little book that really boosted our walks on our weekend!

The property requests that dogs are not allowed upstairs, which is fine as our dog isn’t allowed upstairs in our own home. Therefore, if your dog is used to being upstairs you will need to bring a dog gate for the stairs. We had to improvise with our car’s boot shelf (it did work well) but I think this is something the property could provide due to it being a request ☺️

Convenient holiday home.

Great location and parking outside. Comfortable beds and sitting room and cosy electric heater for immediate heat for a short time on chilly evening.

A comfortable, well-equipped home perfectly placed to explore Bourton and surrounding villages.

Clean and homely, close to the village centre, quiet cul-de-sac, friendly neighbours, comfortable beds and sofa, well equipped kitchen, games for children, extra towels, fans in each bedroom, lovely decor. Richard was quick to reply to messages.

Enjoyable stay

Bourton on the water was beautiful and the accommodation was very nice. Check in was not so good as could not check in until 5pm unless you paid an extra £25.00 to check in early.

Lovely location, nice clean house.

Location was great, comfortable sofas and bed, good kitchen facilities for a short stay. Nice interior, outdoor space. Parking space good.

Paid £80 odd cleaners fee but were “letter threatened” on the fridge sign with a £60 fine if we didn’t take out our own bin. Lots of possible fines made you feel on edge, took the shine off a lovely stay. Allowed dogs but wasn’t quite practical outdoor space (soil flower beds, possible muddy paws straight on to carpet).

A wonderful holiday

We had a lovely stay at Green lake house for 3 nights. The location is perfect to explore the beautiful Cotswold, 10-minute walking distance to the town centre of the Bourton-on-the-water, easily going to the other villages and towns via a car including upper and lower slaughters, stow-on-the-wold, Broadway, Chipping Campden, Hidcote garden, Bibury and Burford. The house is cozy, tidy and clean. The kitchen is fully equipped. Bed is comfort and we all had good sleeps.

Wonderful - lots to do in the area.

Location and it was very adequate for a weekend. We went with our adult children and they even found the bunkbed fine for a weekend. Perhaps a drawer for them to pack their things away but not a trainsmash.

Beds far too low for older people or people with poor mobility. And Double Bunk bed lower bed could do with a new mattress as so thin and uncomfortable.

lovely decor, very clean and well equpped

the bunk beds are not really suitable for adults. fine for children but we were a group of adults … very creaky and not so comfy. locations was fine generally just a bit far out of the centre for my elderly mum to be able to walk in

Everything!! The house was immaculate, quiet location, beautiful walk to the centre . It had everything we needed and more, added extras ( prosecco, muesli, biscuits, dog treats ,welcome pack) on drive parking - Fabulous!

Very homely, very well equipped, good location just 10 min walk from town, good shower pressure, nice drive.

The master bedroom mattress was very poor - it was foam that sagged and left us with bad backs. I think paying almost £300 per night was very steep for the size of the property and the fact that check in was 5pm and check out was 10am! We were also emailed and texted twice to confirm check out time which felt very odd. Just lots of emails firing at you. There are pictures of prosecco that wasn't there at check in - felt that was a bit tight.

Superb property in a beautiful location !

What a wonderful beautiful property in a great location ! Loved the decor (even took some tips to apply in our own home 😆), the little extras were very thoughtful, and found the beds very comfy. Lovely quiet location and just a short walk to the village. Bourton on the water is fabulous , cute little independent shops and great selection of places to eat. Was so nice to sit and have fish and chips by the river. Would definitely recommend staying in and hope to stay again ourselves soon. Thank you for making it a home from home and also for the brilliant communication too, so easy to deal with 😊
