The city\'s mile-long promenade also known as La Passeggiata di Viareggio is popular with tourists for its Art Nouveau architecture and is lined with shops, cafés and restaurants. You can feel the energy of the city, which is full of bars, ice-cream parlours, street food places and cafés. There are also a few museums to get a feel for the city\'s history and a carnival citadel that hosts cultural events.
A charge of 5 € per day for electricity must be paid separately before arrival.
For day trips, guests can explore Lucca (33 minutes), Pisa (26 minutes), Carrara and other nearby towns on the Italian Riviera.
