Especially known as a seaside resort, Viareggio has well-equipped beaches with parasols and all the necessary amenities. The mile-long promenade of the town also known as La Passeggiata di Viareggio is popular among tourists for its Art Nouveau architecture and magnificent views. It is lined with shops, cafes and restaurants. One can feel the energy of the town that is full of bars, ice cream parlors, street food joints and cafes. There are also a few museums to gain an insight into the town’s history and a carnival citadel that hosts cultural events.
The cost of € 5 per day for electricity will be required to be paid separately before arrival.
For day trips, guests can explore Lucca (33 minutes), Pisa (26 minutes), Carrara and other nearby towns on the Italian Riviera.
