Old Town Gem - Castle Dark History Uni

The location was fantastic! We were able to walk to everything we had planned.

Parking was a bit confusing and the property itself felt a bit outdated or could use some upgrading.

Clean, apartment had everything we needed, no issues with the communication with the owner, easy access to the local attractions.

It was an excellent base for exploring Edinburgh and nearby areas. I visited with my sister and there was plenty of space for both of us. It would have been nice to have some instructions for the kitchen stove, but we managed to use is anyway. Also the shower system was a bit odd and the doors of the shower cabin did not shut properly, but this did not bother us much. Instructions on getting in were great! We enjoyed our visit :)

The actual flat itself was clean enough and the bed was comfy. Plenty of kitchen amenities. The host replied lovely to messages and allowed us to check in early

The location seemed sketchy. After getting into the building it was very very poor inside, looked almost abandoned inside and unsafe. Hardly any lighting, paint peeling, old carpets, just felt unsafe and very dark. The shower head temp was unpredictable, the shower doors didn’t close, was very small. Very outdated, the doors looked old and cheap, there was a strange smell but could be just due to the old building.
