Juan de Fuca Beach House is a charming waterfront home is located on a 2 private forested acres with access to a pristine southwest facing beach. Located west of French Beach and east of China Beach, Jordan River, and Sandcut Beach, the beach experience here is as good as it gets! Be prepared to see eagles, orcas, seals, otters, and possibly even humpback whales without even leaving the house. The kitchen has everything an avid cook could want, but if you don't want to cook, it is a short walk to Point No Point for lunch or dinner. The home has 4 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms.Two bedrooms are on the main floor and two are upstairs. All bedrooms have a view of the ocean. This quiet property is the perfect place to reconnect with the people you love and a wonderful place to which to return after a day exploring the local attractions.

I was celebrating a big landmark in my life and wanted to surround myself with close friends to create lasting memories. The Juan de Fuca Beach House was the perfect location for friends and nature lovers. The location is absolutely spectacular! Long walks along the beach and the surrounding trails created fun and adventure and we didn't encounter another person other than those in our group for the entire time we were there. The kitchen is perfectly appointed and well stocked to entertain and it serves as a perfect backdrop for close gatherings and great conversation. We will definitely be back for our next celebration.

The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and has a beautiful view. All we could hear was the waves crashing against the rocks. We played on the beach, enjoyed the abundance of games provided, and took advantage of being so close to Point No Point, where we had a fantastic meal. A great weekend with family and friends. This property is an absolute must stay. It is truly a gem in the Shirley / Sooke area of the island. From its superb location, to its private only access beach just steps away from the home, and a beautifully well maintained house, this was a perfect place for my family and I to enjoy all the wonders of the island. We truly enjoyed the beautiful fireplace, the view fron every single room of the ocean and of course the beach that was so well secluded. Enjoying a cup of coffee in the AM on the beach while watching seals and otters play was just breathtaking. The local coffee shop and pizza were also delicious. Rob was also very wonderful to coordinate our stay with. Would highly recommend and would like to come back again soon!

We had an amazing 4 night stay with family at this property. The house was spacious and clean , lots of space for 7 adults. View from all bedrooms and the private beach was amazing. Just a note that it is well water and very minerals so if you don’t like that being in your own drinking water.

The house and property are beautiful. The trail and stairs to the beach were very well maintained. The house has lots of space for the family and the beds were very comfortable. Sitting on the deck all that you could hear was the waves. Just a beautiful spot.

This is a lovely, private spot. The private beach is wonderful (keeps kids entertained all day) and the house is beautiful and equipped with everything you could possibly want or need. (We especially enjoyed the puzzles!) Lots of games, toys and room for kids! Bring your binoculars if you want to get a good look at the passing whales, otters and sea lions. I highly recommend this for a family vacation!

The property was clean and beautiful - the best part was the private beach access. We spent everyday out on the beach kayaking, paddleboarding, and even snorkeling. Visiting Botanical Beach and seeing whales and seals was also a big highlight.

The place is as scenic as the view you get from each balcony, window and lookout with all ameneities you would need to comfortably enjoy lounging, watching for wildlife, beachcombing, playing games and preparing delicious meals in the well appointed kitchen. This is an exceptional property. The house is spacious and clean. The access to the beach is well constructed and the beach is spectacular. Saw Eagles swooping down from the giant spruce trees to catch fish. The crashing of the waves was soothng. Though its in a fairly remote area, Sooke is only 15 minutes away and there is an excellent cafe and pizza place just a few minutes drive from the property. Lots of great hiking nearby like Mystic Beach and Sooke Potholes. And Victoria is only an hour away.

We had an amazing weekend stay at the Juan de Fuca beach house. The house is spacious and well laid out with plenty of beds. The location was amazing, with a private walkway down to a small beach directly below (30 second walk). Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away with close proximity to plenty of outdoor activities.

This was the first Christmas my family has been able to all be together since before the pandemic. The Juan de Fuca Beach House was a perfect location and a perfect fit for our family. We cooked all our meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and spent many hours playing board games and sharing laughs in the living room. If you're looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place.

WOW WOW WOW! This property is perfect, the home's layout opens up to some incredible views over the ocean, from the living, dining , kitchen along with with each bedroom having a view out to the ocean, so the waves can lull you to sleep at night . We explored the beautiful areas of Port Renfrew to Sooke nearby. The beds were pretty comfortable, and the woodburning fireplace made the nights so cozy. Only negatives would be there are Zero TV's for those wanting that and the fireplace in the Master didnt' seem to have a remote or switch to turn it on. We didn't find either of those things too troublesome as the home and views were so beautiful and comfortable , we were just awestruck. Oh yeah,,,also there's a private inlet at the bottom of the stairs for some beautiful picture opps. Thankyou thanyou thakyou is all we can say, this gem of an abode was perfect for us!

This was a perfect 6-night getaway for 3 couples. We’ve been trying to get to BC since before the pandemic started and we were happy we finally made it. The house is reasonably appointed. Access to the beach is a short stairway away. Loved seeing the various ships and other watercraft pass by. Be sure to download the app so you can identify what vessel is passing. We did see bears on the beach and we were told cougars were in the area. We deployed the “buddy system” on any outdoor excursions that went beyond the back deck. We would highly recommend this house. The host was super responsive and was explicitly clear on our check in and check out responsibilities. Our only recommendation to future guests is to bring in your own drinking water. The well water is safe but not palatable to drink or use for coffee. I suppose if you lived there you would get used to it. Great stay.

This was a great retreat for 3 couples and we all very much enjoyed the stay. Elegant modern home with 4 bedrooms, all with ocean views. Well equipped kitchen and 3 bathrooms. A small interesting beach can be accessed down stairs from the property. The location is a considerable winding drive from Sooke so plan to bring all the food and drink you need. Especially, bring lots of drinking water. The well water tastes terrible and we found it unusable for drinking or coffee. A minor inconvenience is the temperamental tankless water heating system which produces hot water at sink faucets but mostly tepid water in the showers. Only disappointment was a locked shed full of firewood we couldnt access after we used up the few armfuls that were left for us the first evening.

Really great place. Location is perfect. Tried several provincial parks around here but found that it was way nicer just to stay right here on the property. Super nice views and a nice private beach. Rob cancelled our stay 20 min before check in due to the fact that we “were not a family.” However, this was never mentioned anywhere in his listing and should not have been a covid problem considering we all live together and would not have been expanding our bubble. He cancelled so close to check in he left us without a place to stay after after we had already rented an extra car to drive up with half our group already in Sooke. DO NOT BOOK THIS COTTAGE!! IT IS UNRELIABLE AND UNTRUST WORTHY!!
