*Owners are a very welcoming, friendly couple who go out of their way to ensure all our needs were accommodated, with a clean comfortable bedroom, plenty of wardrobes, towels and well equipped kitchen. Dunkineely affords easy access to visit many place of interest. *William and Mary - meeting the owners to pass over keys etc., making it more personal is refreshing change

A very pleasant stay at Village Cottage

We stayed with William and Mary for 3 nights from 8th until the 11th of August,from once we booked until we said goodbye it was like home from home,nothing was a problem and we had everything we needed .They are the nicest most genuine people you could meet,if you want peace,quiet and comfort it's a winner and you have the added bonus of Mary and William looking out for you,the property itself was so clean and comfortable,highly recommend it

The only thing we didn't really like was when it was time to leave,a few more days would have been perfect but unfortunately we needed to get back to work

Kind owners, well refurbished, well connected to the surroundings.

The apartment was clean and overlooked the main street of the small village. At night, only a few cars passed by, and they didn’t disturb our sleep. The location is great for exploring the surrounding area, and the elderly couple who own the place are exceptionally kind and helpful — a real joy to meet and talk with.

The double bed was smaller than others we had during our trip — we would suggest replacing it with a larger one.

Excellent location between Donegal Town and Killybegs. Village Cottage is a very nice house with plenty of comfort and privacy. The hosts are really nice - lot's of stories of the beautiful area around Dunkineely. All you need is available. From here it's great to explore the southern part of Donegal. Being located at the main road (with a private parking spot) helps you to get around quickly. Opposite of the cottage you will find a great butcher, some pubs and local shops. It's also possible to go the beach very easily. St Johns point is very much worth a visit. The house itself is large, clean and well equipped. Two large bedrooms with very good beds. It's cosy, comfortable and welcoming. Will definitively stay here again when visiting this part of wonderful Ireland. Be sure to meet 'n greet William and Mary and book this cottage for your stay.

With pleasure again!

The hosts are a very nice couple. They were very helpful and caring. If we needed anything they took care of it immediately. The heating was to our disposal and worked very well, which we were very thankful for since the weather was a bit chilly. We got the best advice concerning the area and the spots we were going to visit. We really enjoyed our stay and will happily come again if being in the area!

Very comfortable cottage with super hosts

This cottage is spotlessly clean with very comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The hosts are extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome. They filled us in with placed to dine and places to visit which is so helpful when it is the first time to visit the area. Would highly recommend for a relaxing break with plenty of places to visit, with good beaches within driving distance and with good places to dine in Killybegs and Donegal town.

Dunkineely Home from Home

We had a lovely week at this cozy little cottage.It is a real home from home.Beds were so comfy,all appliances work and a great location for exploring Donegal.Mary and Willie are such lovely people and were so helpful with places to visit and restaurants to eat at.They were so good with our 2 girls and loved all the chats about where we visited.We would highly recommend this little piece of heaven in Dunkineely.

Loved the house and where it was. We did great day trips from the location and people were lovely. The house is beautiful and so well kept. very homely. William and his wife couldn’t be anymore helpful such lovely people. We will definitely return.

We could not have asked for more! We had the perfect stay at the lovely Village Cottage. William and Mary are the perfect hosts. The cottage is fresh, clean and has all mod cons. Perfect stay.

We stayed here with our 5 month old baby for a week and it was fantastic. It is one of the best locations in Donegal. Assuming you're going to be driving to various points during your trip, Dunkineely is perfect as it is right in the middle of many great spots: Rossnowlagh, Bundoran, Donegal Town, Mount Charles, Ardara, Slieve League, Killybegs, St John's Point and all the beaches inbetween. The property itself is a lovely little bungalow with everything you could need. Hot shower, comfy sofas for relaxing with some TV compatible with firestick, washing machine for clean clothes to head home with, cooking facilities, car parking on driveway up to the front door, shop for coffee 2 mins walk, nice pizza/chippy takeaway 3 mins drive, 3 pubs within 3-5mins walk, 2 with beer gardens for your Guinness reward after a day of touring around some of the best beaches in Ireland. We recommend a couple of disposable bbqs because there's a boucher literally across the road so you can grab what you need and head to the beach a few mins drive away for lunch/dinner. Superb. The hosts, Willie and Mary, were perfect. Welcoming and friendly, nothing was too much trouble for them. They live in the annex behind the cottage, so are close if you need anything, yet will give you all the privacy you want. You wouldn't even know they were there. We enjoyed chatting with them the few times we ran into them. The welcome bottle of wine was also very kind. Really lovely people. We will no doubt stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to explore Donegal.

Très bonne adresse pour séjourner dans le Donegal (avec une voiture !). Maison confortable et spacieuse avec deux belles chambres, une cuisine séparée du séjour, une belle salle de bains. Accueil sympa et disponibilité de la part de William.

Il manque quelques aliments de base dans les placards (sel, huile, pâtes, riz, thé ...) car quand on arrive en fin de journée, c'est plus agréable de ne pas avoir à ressortir pour 3 bricoles.
