Friendly, welcoming and lovely staff. Great sleep and great food.

From the moment of arrival I could see how exceptional this hotel was. The attention the staff showed us was amazing. Ricardo on the front desk was both helpful and friendly. Happy to explain the best ways to get around the city and directing us of the best public transport.

The only criticism I would have was that there was no happy medium in the shower. It was either boiling hot or freezing cold. I made slight adjustments to see if I could get it, but nothing worked.

We only used it to sleep in so unable to give full review of the hotel. Given that it was well presented.

Good but not great.Overpriced for what you get.

Great location and food.

When you travel with children it is expected that the room would have a smart tv it’s 2026 ,rates charged reflect this ,so should the facilities.This was very disappointing also family room had no comforts like a walkin shower rather than a shower in a bath.No room service menu to hand just a QR code.Bit of a dodgy area walking back and although bedrooms have swipe keys ,lifts should also.Room was also tiny for 3.

Fabulous welcoming hotel with a wonderful atmosphere and access to all amenities.

The proximity to train station and luas is absolutely fantastic! Lovely friendly staff and a really welcoming hotel.

We couldn’t figure out how to adjust the thermostat but that was minor abd we didn’t even check with reception as we were just there for the night.

Perfect staff & location

The hotel was very convenient to Dublin Houston station, easily accessing buses, trains, and light rail. Guinness store house is very close along with museums. Both restaurants in the hotel were great too. But it's the staff that makes the stay so great. Javier at the front desk was incredibly helpful. Manager Paula could be found everywhere. Entire restaurant and hotel staff were amazing. That's my second time staying at the Ashling and I would recommend to anyone, especially solo travelers!

We were walking distance to the park,train station and spar was a few minutes walk away from the hotel (for emergency use) Lovely surroundings where you can explore.

2 lovely days in Dublin

Location closed to Guinness and 20 min by walk to temple zone but really simple to go. Delicious breakfast. Only 2 night but really pleasant.

Convienence

I liked its location and the security at the door which was needed. As we experienced a frightening incident outside the hotel walking back from the luas stop. A drug induced man who was violent. For this reason it is important to keep security at the door. Lovely atmosphere inside and the staff were fabulous. Very warm and welcoming. The food was fabulous too. And the breakfast was delicious.

I didn’t like the fact that there was no public comfortable seating area as such, just general seating in the lobby ( small number or seats)

The hotel was located in the perfect location for our trip. The hotel is very modern and feels very comfortable and homely. Bedroom were very well equipted and comfortable. Very spacious bedroom and bathroom.

3 night holiday in Dublin, older well traveled couple.

We booked a Superior King room, it was a large comfortable and quiet room at the front of the hotel.

Room service is not automatic! You must fill in a card and leave it with front desk🙁 6 pillows….. however they are all hard, no soft fluffy pillows!

Overall a great hotel and would stay there again

It’s an impressive building to walk into, with a lovely large entrance area with the bar off to one side and the restaurant off to the other. The room was spacious, spotless and comfortable. The buffet breakfast offering was fantastic.

The hospitality tray in the room had single-use paper cups - even cheap hotels have proper cups. The bathroom whilst well equipped was a weird very long room with nowhere to hang a towel. The cleaning staff turned up really early to do the room, so we’d get back from breakfast to find them already there - all a bit awkward. Getting out of the car park wasn’t easy - the validated ticket didn’t work which meant a trip back to reception and a long wait for a member of staff to become free to sort it out.

The location on this place was everything. It was a 5 minute walk from the train station where they had a drug store, coffee shop and Pret A Manger. We absolutely loved the hotel, the beds were very comfy, the rooms were very clean and spacious. Staff was very helpful and friendly. They even had a doorman <3

Modern Location Parking available Staff

Check out on booking was 2 hours wrong, it told me 10am when infact it is 12pm. Breakfast option wasn’t available on booking, yet is offered when checking in- and it’s cheaper to pre book it than on the day. Quiet up until the staff began work when at 7am on the corridor one woman was very loud - felt like she was trying to wake people up. I found this weird and unnecessary. A mini fridge would be lovely so as to have real milk for tea & coffee. All very minor things- most not the hotels issue.

Great location/rooms need updating

Staff were very friendly. We went for food at the restaurant - it was very good. Bed was very comfortable. location was excellent.

The small sized room was disappointing (family of 4) and the decor was outdated. The trip switch went twice in the room which I corrected. Beds were comfy though and can't complain about the accommodation staff.
