Another Fabulous, comfortable stay at Ridge and Tides. Highly Recommended!

We have stayed here several times now and its a lovely place to stay. Very comfortable and warm and welcoming and in an excellent location. Walking distance to The Penrhyn for a few cheeky pints and a decent meal and also to the local shop and to the beach. Location is quiet and the neighbours friendly.

One or two things require a little attention now. Nothing major and I am sure they will be addressed now end of season is almost here. There was a lack of mugs and the general mugs and plates situation needs replenishing. The property could also benefit from a new kettle and toaster. Only two sides from a 4 slot toaster were working. Like I say, nothing major and nothing that ruined our stay at all.

Nice stay but could have been cleaner!

It was a lovely area to stay in, the property was spacious, bathroom was clean, and the garden was good for the dogs!

Just a few things that could have been better, it didn’t seem to be cleaned thoroughly - there were crumbs behind some of the cushions on the sofa, and on the bedside table in the single room, the single bed was also full of dust around the frame of the bed, only 2 toilet rolls were left for 5 people for 3 days! Some of the cutlery and glasses had marks on as if they hadn’t been cleaned properly - I know this is from previous guests but would have been worth checking!

We had a fabulous few days, with trains and planes, crabs and ice cream. Thanks for having us.

The size is perfect for our family with modern facilities.The shower is great. The location is ideal for the beach.

The big double bed is very uncomfortable, the mattress bulges in the middle.

Little gem

What an absolute little gem of a place 😊 we were holidaying with my elderly parents and our grandson and fairbourne was Ideal as it's flat and quiet. The accommodation was clean, comfortable and homely with everything we needed for our stay and we will definitely be going back.

The enclosed garden - absolutely perfect for kids and dogs. Super comfy beds and sofa. Close proximity to the beach! The hosts are lovely and accommodating. Quiet neighbourhood

A great, well equipped little bungalow with pleasant garden

Lovely spacious, light and airy accommodation with a nice little garden which was in the sun for most of the day (when it was out). The beds were comfortable. The location was great being near the mini mart shop and the chippy. The Station Cafe cooked amazing breakfasts. Good base for exploring the area. Very well equipped for self catering.

Although generally clean, I was aghast to find the oven gloves had food debris on them - I would have thought that they would have been laundered between visits. Also cobwebs in the corner over the toaster. What was really annoying was the fact that I went out to buy a tea towel as I didn't find the ones in the airing cupboard until later on. A tea towels should have been hung over the oven door.

Fabulous property in an amazing location

The location of the property is superb! So close to the beach, shops, cafe's etc. The house was great for our family. Comfy, homely and had everything that we needed for our week long stay. The secure back garden for the dogs was excellent.

Pit stop visit

The location is excellent and very quiet . Bungalow is very clean and beds comfy. Perfect enclosed garden for my dogs Lively touch that we were left Welsh cakes and milk. Will hopefully be back

Cosy, warm house, right next to the sea

Amazing location, so close to the beach and a beautiful walk up the coastal road. Short drives to Barmouth or Machynlleth. House was cosy and clean

A very enjoyable relaxing stay.

Lovely quiet neighbourhood. Plenty of space with everything we needed.The house was clean and comfy with everything we needed. My husband and I are disabled and the bungalow was perfect. My son enjoyed walking around the neighborhood exploring nearby sights. Everyone we met was friendly. It was a very enjoyable holiday. A home from home. 🙂

Everything was really good and if I must put something then only thing would be perhaps a small coffee table in the living room would be useful. Apart from that we couldn’t fault anything.

Nice accommodation, well situated.

We visited off season but there is a nice community in Fairbourne and the property is a few metres flat walk from the station, a shop a post office, a cafe, a chippie and a pub.

Family stay

The location is great for a stay in fairbourne and to explore the surrounding area. It a good size property and nice garden, the conservatory was cold due to time of year and not really useable to eat in as was cold. Rooms are good size.

We have stayed previously at this property but felt that the home has been let go and need a bit of a tidy up. It was really cold when we first got to the property because it storage heater throught the property it did take awhile to warm up. Which wasn't great with a baby. The property wasn't that clean, all easy to solve just not the nicest to arrive to.

A great comfortable stay in a great location

Lovely warm comfortable accommodation with lovely comfy beds and a great shower. Loved the enclosed garden which was perfect for our dogs. Location is superb, lovely and quiet and only a stones throw from the fab beach at Fairbourne and to The Penryhn Bar (which is very dog friendly) Shops and takeaways are also in easy walking distance. Couldn't fault it and will definitely be staying here again.

Very good

Good kitchen facility, though it would have been nice to have a teapot, some oven mitts and a few smaller drinking glasses. Fridge was set too cold- it froze a home grown cucumber I had brought with us. Small stuff really as it was a pretty well equipped kitchen and we managed to cook some nice meals with minimal effort.

No teapot! Not much to criticise at all, it was all quite well thought out and well appointed. Possibly some heat in the conservatory as it was the only place to eat.

Conservatory was fine as the weather was good but some massive gaps in fittings. Needed a lot of work to bring up to standard in future if a conservatory is offered.

Bedrooms and bedding were very clean. Lounge OK. Kitchen and cupboards needed a good clean.

Mould round edges of kitchen work surfaces. Work surfaces very sticky. It was tired and needed TLC. It would be lovely if attention given to it. Outside front and back needed a tidy up

Overall it was a great holiday, quite little place, but lots of things to do around and about.

Location was great minutes from shops and not much further to the beach

Had real problems locking and opening the front door, couldn't lock the conservatory door once opened, garden was a little overgrown, gardener turned up just as we were leaving. Would have been nice for it to have been done before we arrived. Also no kind of dish cloth to wipe down surfaces, only washing up brushes so I had to go bye one.
