My family and I stayed for 5 nights. Me, my wife and our two children (5 and 7yrs) had a great time exploring the great outdoors. The cottage was very comfortable, clean and very warm. Highly recommended. Local shops 5 mins away, lots to do. The cottage owner even helped us rescue a young owl which crash landed. Can’t wait to go back. Lovely family cottage, comfortably fitted a party of 8 (including a dog!). Perfect for keen walkers as Barmouth is a 45 min walk through stunning scenery and across the historic bridge. Not a lot of shops nearby so need to travel. Owner was really helpful and we would definitely stay there again.

We stayed here for two weeks. The house was comfortable and the kitchen had all we needed. However the freezer was so iced up we couldn't open the drawers and the top basket of the dishwasher didn't wash properly. The washing machine was great but the powder drawer hadn't been cleaned for a while and was caked up and black. I rang the owner part way through the fortnight to mention these things and left a message but had no response. The sofas, dining area, TV, WIFI etc. was all working and comfortable. The children liked the bean bags and TV for videos upstairs. The beds were all clean and nicely made up. The double bed in the upstairs bedroom was very awkward to get into due to the sloping roof - you needed to be very flexible or climb over from the other side! Bits of the house were quite modern and nice but a lot house looked a little tired - the artificial flowers were faded and things were dusty. The drive way had a lot of weeds, and there was no grass. The sitting area was well equipped but there was nothing to look at. The property is right next to the road. The location of the house is perfect to reach the beach at Fairbourne where parking charges are very reasonable £1 for 4 hours. Lovely walks and scenery close by. well stocked shop locally at Fairbourne.

The cottage is in a great location to enjoy the surrounding area with shops and pubs a short drive away. The outside space is pleasant to sit and socialise and was secure for our dog. The kitchen facilities are great apart from the table which is too low to fit your legs under. Bedrooms are well equipped and comfortable. (Tall people Beware the low sloping ceilings upstairs) . Overall a fabulous cottage and location which we would recommend. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
