Cozy & comfortable, great location, friendly staff

Very cozy, comfortable, quiet, with a very warm and welvoming atmosphere. The sincere warmth and promptness of the hosts, in dealing with any request from their guests, and in solving any issue, contributed even more to the comfort of our stay. We will definitely return!

False advertising, rude owner , cash grab!!!

Good location

False advertising , rude owner , they say quiet and cozy place with soundproofing, but my experience its very bad , we arrived on 25 dec and we had till 2 of jan , we left earlier because of other guests that thought the villa was only for them very noisy and the soundproofing was 0 , we spoke with the owner but nothing happened, and after we told him we gonna leave she already started and arrange our private balcony entered the balcony and the room wen we was out for coffee, and after we noticed she did that she already disappeared, i told her on private message she said karma , breakfast its 0 aswell , be careful , if it’s included she will then say you have to pay more 13€ for a bottle of yogurt and and a small bottle of juice, very poor breakfast not enough , very tiny portions delivered to your door , very rude owner false advertising mold in the bathroom sorry but never again we gonna trust a villa that says soundproofing and quiet and bla bla bla too bad i cant rate it 0 !

The attention to details. The room was a warm bath: cozy, beautiful, welcoming.

Unfortunately there is no tea cooker or coffee machine in the room. That means you can go to the kitchen, which is functional but not enticing to have a breakfast or drink a coffee as there is only one small table behind the door. There is a wonderful breakfast / pleasure room, however when I was there this was simply too cold to enjoy.

Romantic stay in Bled

Location was great, beds were very comfortable, rooms soundproof and property was clean. Use of hot tub was great, and provided robes were an extra bonus

We absolutely loved Bled and would happily stay at Villa Alice again.

Amazing location with views of the mountains. Just a short walk to the lake and restaurants. Supermarket also close by. Lovely villa with a shared kitchen, dining room and car park. Super friendly host, who made us coffee and hot chocolate with our breakfast.

Cleaning was average. The shower was a bit mouldy and the wall behind our bed was covered with dust.

Great place to stay when exploring Bled and nearby natural wonders

The room was very comfortable and had a nice view of the mountains. However it was the extras that made the stay special (available candies, biscuits, peanuts). The dining room and kitchen were cozy and well equipped. The spa was easy to use and a nice thing to do on the chilly mountain evenings.

Lots of steps up to our room could be tiring after a day walking around. Not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Okay but could be better

The place is cute, and close to central bled and a lovely coffee shop! The free parking is great to have!

It just didn’t feel entirely clean - may be because the place is a bit worn. My partner has dust allergies which only really flare up when using old bedding and pillows, and this unfortunately seemed to be the case here. Also on a pretty main road, so traffic noises kept us awake (despite wearing ear plugs). The bathroom doesn’t have any door, so no real privacy and oddly, there was no hand-wash in the bathroom which is not ideal.

Excellent location, our room was huge. There was a feeling of home from home. Lovely big balcony with comfortable seating, plenty hot water. Bathrobes were provided. The host was really lovely, she gave us good suggestions on where to explore. There is a communal kitchen downstairs for us to use. In the warmer days I could imagine the gardens and hot tubs being a lovely addition.

I thought the balcony was just for our room but twice in the morning there was a used coffee mug with cigarette ends in it. I would have liked a kettle and mugs in the room. The continental breakfast came daily in a box and you could have it anytime after 8.15, it was the same every day and I would have liked a variation having stayed for 5 days.

Disappointing

The location was close to the lake which was great.

We recently stayed at Villa Alice Lake Bled and unfortunately our experience was significantly impacted due to multiple issues with the property, some of which involved safety concerns and misrepresentation of facilities. We contacted the property directly to try and resolve these issues, but have not yet received a satisfactory resolution. The hot tub lid was broken. When a staff member helped prop it up, it fell and hit my head. My face touched the water and I was very upset. While I did not sustain a visible injury, the incident was frightening and prevented us from using the hot tub safely. We asked a staff member how to use the sauna. He kindly showed us, but explained that other guests had told him the sauna wasn’t working. He turned it on for us to test, but unfortunately it did not heat up so we couldn’t use it during our stay. Wi-Fi was unreliable, which made it difficult to message the property during our stay. The listing mentioned a “Duplex Apartment kitchen,” but the kitchen was shared in the main house. We understand this may have been a translation error and simply something to note and didn’t affect us. Breakfast was paid for via Booking.com. We were told by a staff member that it would include a croissant and coffee each morning, but this was not provided. The box we received contained small items which were appreciated but did not include drinks or choice (only a small grape juice for the two of us). We were not informed where to leave the box. The balcony door in our room was broken, creating a safety concern. Given the combination of safety concerns, non-functioning amenities, inadequate breakfast, misrepresented kitchen, and poor communication, our stay sadly didn’t meet expectations.

Beautiful hotel right by the lake

Loved this place! The location is amazing, the garden (with pool, hot tub and sauna) was perfect to relax in, and our room was huge, comfortable, and clean. Less than a 5 minute walk to the lake. The breakfast was also fantastic with fresh local ingredients. Highly recommend!

Great guest house needing some simple improvements

The location was great central to excellent restaurants and the Lake itself. The garden, pool and outside area to gather with friends was really good. Breakfast was excellent and hosts were accommodating with early starts for touring.

It was more cutesy than functional. We were located on the second floor and room had no fridge nor tea/coffee facilities and our shower had no shelving whatsoever. However, there was a shared kitchen on the ground floor(with rubbish overflowing on the final day). Finally there was a weird floor to ceiling glass door that slides from the hallway across the stairs and is an accident waiting to happen. This overshadowed our stay.

I’d definitely recommend a stay here if in Lake Bled, excellent spot in a quiter area

Vila Alice has 6-7 rooms in a beautiful old house and a fantastic large outdoor garden dining and relaxation area including a hot tub. The rooms and house are all large and recently renovated and everywhere was spotlessly clean. It’s a 5 min walk from the lake and has free private parking which is a big plus. There is even a kitchen area if required

Perfect place to stay around Bled!

This is a wonderful place to stay near Lake Bled! The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and our room was both spacious and comfortable. I’d also highly recommend the breakfast box, enjoying it in the back garden was such a lovely experience!

Beautiful house and garden

Lovely building and great location. Alice was a lovely, welcoming host. She couldn't do enough for us.

We were on the top floor, and the kitchen was on the ground floor. It would have been nice to have had a little fridge and a kettle in the room. However, it is a really old building, and I appreciate that this is possibly not appropriate for insurance purposes or practical. This did not detract from our enjoyment as Vila Alice was fabulous.

Perfect stay at Villa Alice - amazing location

Cannot say enough great things about our stay! We were in the villa house in the garden and had it all to ourselves, it was gorgeous. So spacious and nicely decorated. Comfortable beds and good shower pressure. We got the farmers breakfast included and it was perfect. Hot drinks were brought to our room every morning. Super friendly staff as well and so hospitable. Location is perfect - 5 mins to the lake. Pool and hot tub available at all times. Parking was not an issue and definitely safe.

No air con, but there was a strong fan.

Vila Alice is ideally located for visiting Bled

Villa Alice is located off the main street in Bled, easily accessed from the main Bled bus station. There are markets and restaurants nearby. We walked all the way around Lake Bled, and took the free shuttle up to Vintgar Gorge from the bus station. We arrived in Bled early, and asked Vila Alice if we could drop off our bags before we visited Vintgar Gorge. Vila Alice helpful staff allowed us to check in early! The staff speaks excellent English and is friendly and helpful. One couple in our traveling party ended up in the huge suite on the second floor.

A sweet stay close to the lake

Very friendly staff and excellent location. The garden looked a lovely are for relaxing, although due to our other plans (and the weather to some degree) we didn’t really utilise these. The car park was handy too.

We absolutely loved our stay and have already recommended the villa to friends and family.

The facilities are great, it has everything you need for a short stay and the pool was a huge bonus! The staff are incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make sure that we had an enjoyable stay.

It is very difficult to find any faults with the property. Two small things that would perhaps enhance the stay would be an upgraded hairdryer (I have long thick hair) and a toaster for breakfast.

Perfect location, friendly staff, lovely villa

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed using the pool and hot tub, we also appreciated being able to use the kitchen and have coffee or breakfast in the morning if we wanted. The location is perfect for exploring lake bled it’s really close to the bus station, the castle and a lot of the bars and restaurants. We also saw there was scooters in the front porch, we didn’t use them but helpful to know they are there.

We wish it had air con, we did have a large fan which made the heat bearable but it was still quite hot at night time.

There was no air condioning in the attic room and it was like a furnace ! There was a small inadequate fan . We contacted the owner who said that portable air con available for an extra 70 euro per night ! It was not what i booked ! Owner was rude and unhelpful . Pool was full of dead insects and green algae Dead insects in bathroom . Room so unbearably hot we only stayed 1 night though we had booked 2 . The intense heat of the room a health and safety issue ..

Incredibly humid room with no ventilation

The location of this place is perfect and the parking very convenient

We stayed in a room on the ground floor and I have never in my life stayed in a more humid place. When I say humid I mean that when we woke up in the morning, all our clothes and sheets felt damp and the toilet paper was sticking together because of it. We stayed in a room on the ground floor and experienced some intense sewage smell coming from the shower which was unpleasant, also because the bathroom has no ventilation. Besides this, there were many ants all over our room including in the bed which was not very nice either. We think villa Alice is a pretty place with great potential but the quality of the room really did not live up to the price Note to the owner is that we got a message about how to self checkin and pay tourist tax in a piggy bank, which the employee was surprised about in the morning. Maybe the messaging info needs updating?

Exellent stay

I had a great one-night stay at Vila Alice Bled. The self check-in process was smooth and easy, and the room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The location is excellent—just a short walk from Lake Bled. Everything was well organized, and I felt very welcome even without staff on site. Highly recommended!
