Our stay was pleasant just not exactly what we expected

The host was very kind and responsive

We rented three apartments for our extended family and there were some maintenance issues such as no hot water & a leaking showerhead. These did get resolved quickly

Fun and practical but only satisfactory quality

The price was excellent and the location wonderful.

The quality of kitchen items was not great. And I specifically checked if there was a microwave which the host confirmed. However, there was no microwave. The neighbour apartment uses the same doorway and and when they come in it sounds like they are coming right inside your apartment, this was quite creepy.

Comfortable and great location!

Very close to lots of good tourist locations. Very friendly staff. Lots of facilities - washing machine, fridge, microwave, dish washer. Good security and felt safe.

Good Stay Overall, Just a Few Minor Issues

Our train was delayed, but the person who was supposed to give us the keys was very understanding and made sure we received them on time. Communication with them was great. They also provided a detailed sheet with information about things like food and Wi-Fi, which was really nice.

The bathroom looked quite clean overall, but I did notice a few small black hairs in the shower. Other than that, there was nothing that bothered me in terms of cleanliness. The issue wasn’t in the inner room but in the living area, where the sofa bed and fridge were. The refrigerator made incredibly loud noises at night, even though it was completely quiet during the day. There were dripping sounds and unusually loud mechanical noises that actually woke me up a few times. If the refrigerator issue gets fixed, it could be a perfectly adequate place to stay.

Historical house in calm part of city

it was perfect stay in Venice: Great location, very accommodating lady on checkin, great communication with her; spacious apartment, fast wi-fi, big and comfortable bed, enough sheets and towels, clean kitchen. Great quality/price ratio. We loved this historical area.

Fantastic in every way couldn’t have asked for better, highly recommend

The property was extremely large, large sitting and cooking area, large bedroom & shower, it was also very secure, its location is fantastic as less than 3min walk to supermarket, restaurants & coffee shops(these are even open @7am for early risers) the staff were extremely helpful when arranging when to meet us to get our keys(whenever suited us they accommodated us) also they were very helpful with recommendations for food etc, very easy to contact on watsapp & always replied quickly!! I was a little nervous booking this property as I had seen some not great reviews(just 1 or 2 here and there) but I was so so happy with how our stay went, if you’re coming to Venice you should stay here, it’s perfect!!

Great location, value for money, clean and spacious!

Great location, just outside the chaos of the city center but close enough to walk to Palazzo Ducale for example. Boat stops nearby and only a few meters away from the sea. Great friendly staff. Big spacious apartment, modern bathroom. Enough bathroom supplies and towels. Everything was clean. Big thanks to Bricola for an amazing stay!

It was a bit cold at night as the heating is only provided by two electrical heaters. And we couldn’t keep them on all night for safety reasons. Overall it would be better if there was another form of heating but this was just fine for our stay. It wasn’t too cold. So definitely recommend during the spring and summer, maybe not winter.

The apartment is cozy and warm - perfect for 2 people. The apartment location is perfect - it’s away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to walk to all of the main attractions.

Disappointing

The host was wonderful and told everything. The location is super convenient. Minuses: the price indicated on the website was the same, when we arrived, the price was 2 times higher, cleaning was added to the price of the room, for which it was necessary to pay 47€, + 8€ were taxes! The price for cleaning is not indicated on the booking website! The apartment had a dirty floor, there was dust on the cupboards! You pay €47 for cleaning, the owner said to take out the trash himself! That is, if you rented a room for €75, expect that you will need to pay €47 for cleaning and €8 tax! It is necessary to indicate the price for cleaning immediately, and not at the meeting!

A gem in Giardini Beinalle.

We loved everything. From the very warm welcome we received from our host Chiara to the well equipped, spaciousness and cleanliness of the apartment to the proximity of it to all the attractions that Venice has to offer. This apartment had it all! Chiara gave very explicit and easy to understand instructions on how to locate the apartment from the train station of Santa Lucia. It is easily assessible to San Marco, water taxis, and local restaurants too. We were a family of 5 including an 80 year old grandfather who really enjoyed our stay there. Would highly recommend it to all and look forward to another stay there in the future.

Location is great and staff is very helpful, just mention the request or problem on WhatsApp and he provides the resolution.

The only issue is that the apartment doesn't have lift but that's the case with all apartments in Venice and staff helped to carry the luggage upstairs.

House 20 min walk from piazza. Old house, old plumbing, intense sewage smell. Giovanni is nice.

Giovanni was an incredibly welcoming and flexible host. He was very kind about our late arrival and he made our entry into the house very pleasant and informative.

The house smelled incredibly strong of the local drain and sewage. I do not know if this is due to it being an old house with old plumbing, or if all of Venice edifices deal with this due to the sea level or sewage circumstances, but each drain in the house, including the kitchen sink drain, the bathroom sink drain, and the shower drain, all smelled horribly of the sewer and this smell permeated the house. Our only night there we propped the bedroom door open to allow the air conditioner (which is located in the kitchen) to provide cool air, and in the middle of the night I kept waking up because of the horrible smell and, as a result, at one point I could no longer stand being woken up because of the sewage smell's intense potency that I closed the door, sacrificing the cold air in order to save us from the horrible smell. Once again, however, please note the incredibly cordial and flexible disposition of the host, and the great location of the property being a 20 minute walk from the main piazza.
