For 1 or 2 nights it is fine, but I wouldn’t be staying longer.

The location is great

The floors are very creaky across the whole place, the en-suite on the 2nd floor absolutely stinks and was extremely unpleasant the whole time - I looked at reviews since and this appears to have been the case since 2024. The heating can’t be controlled and it was ridiculous hot. The windows were hard to open or just didn’t open in several circumstances. The bathrooms are very dated and the two showers are pretty small with weak shower pressure. I got an email the day before check out to say that if a single piece of rubbish was left, we would be charged £50 which sounds a bit ridiculous.

A lack of bin bags and toilet roll - considering it can supposedly house up to 8. Nothing supplied in the kitchen in the way of condiments. WiFi was terrible. Didn’t bother us too much as we spent much of our time out of the house

Worked for us

The property location was good for our purposes. Everything worked. The rooms are a decent size and twin rooms were good for our group (of 6). The kitchen facilities were OK… plenty of crockery for example. The owners had left washing-up liquid and dishwasher soap and T-towels.

There is a pub a few doors away which had a private party until the early hours of Saturday so it was a bit noisy. And it’s near a main road which was also quite noisy. Another minor point is that the floors squeak so when people are up in the night, everyone else knew!

Dirty plates and cutlery in dishwasher on arrival and TV didn’t work. They messaged straight back to apologise though so customer service very good.

Overall , a really nice place to stay, and we’d be happy to come back!

We had a great two night stay! The place was really nice and spacious, with a lovely balcony on the top floor. The garage was super easy to use and made parking very convenient. We asked about a late checkout the day before we were due to leave, and the host approved it almost immediately for £30, which we thought was reasonable.

The only downsides were that the neighbours were extremely loud from around 6am, so I’d recommend bringing earplugs, and the bedrooms got extremely hot at night. It might be worth considering adding fans in the rooms for added comfort.

Definitely not a gem.... Very tired

Unfortunately this wasn't a gem, it was much more tired and well used than the photos and descriptions, it's falsely advertised and booking.com should make them redo their photos and descriptions.

The house was really tired, we were going to go for an alternative house which was cheaper and advertised as cheap and basic but we thought we'd treat ourselves to a nicer place and pay the extra but it really needs investing in. When i asked the owner after our stay if we could have a partial refund in line with the cost of the other accommodation he was incrediblely rude. Looking at other reviewers they have pointed this out and if id looked at the reviews before booking, i wouldn't have booked, the owner replies to their feedback saying they are making false accusations and just trying to get something for nothing but trust me it's true. The owner needs to spend time in the house and make a list and sort all the things that need sorting, just some : Dishwasher trays falling apart Old tired grout Peeling wallpaper Dirty carpets Clearly had a leak in bathroom and not patched up neatly Outdoor areas need a good clean The whole place shows sign of heavy use On top of the fabric of the house being not up to scratch The door bell didn't work The caffitieire was broken Windows didn't open The shower pressure was dreadful The cleaner was still there when we arrived so we had to wait longer The owner said i should have listed all this during our stay, but to be honest the list was so long, we were there for a funeral and we just wanted to get it done without getting the owner in during our stay. He will probably reply unkindly to this review but tbh we've lost out and he needs to invest in his own property or advertise it truthfully

Good stay in Bristol

Good location, a bit up the hill out of town - is a bit of a walk to the centre of Bristol, but some shops and cars nearby. Spacious. Good to have twin beds. Nice balcony with a good view. Comfortable beds, showers and bathrooms fine. Good communication with host who let us drop off bags early. The kitchen is not particularly well equipped if you want to do much cooking and some areas could do with a touch up. Might benefit from some things like board games, information about the local area. Was good value for money.

Clean, comfortable, spacious town house, the garage (accommodated a Ford Kuga) modern kitchen, outdoor decking area, lovely, traditional pub a few doors up (with pub quiz), walking distance to all amenities, including local tourist attractions

Bristol stay

Very comfortable beds. Close to where we were partying and easy to reach on puplic transport.

Dripping kitchen tap, very wasteful. It suited us, but the garage is very small. There is a multi storey car park nearby.

Lovely property, just needs a little care and attention, good location with parking not far away.

Cleanliness- Host was very specific about smoking rules, yet the garden was littered with cigarettes. The shower need a good scub, the walls have started to form mold, yet i swept my hand and mold came away. the en suite shower curtain also had lots of mold. The shower in main bathroom did not work. There were no flat baking trays in kitchen. No cleaning spray and only 1 sponge provided. Carpets, we were told no shoes, yet it was clear others have ignored as carpets have marks.

Well located and private

Brilliant location. Within walking distance of central Bristol and the quay. Private and Well equipped. Nicely decorated.

Items left in sink on arrival and rubbish bags left from previous visitors in back garden area. The time consuming way to pay for this property with all the extreme security of uploading of documents, signatures and photo, enough to put people off using the property. This is a lovely property but lots of effort to book.

The house itself was lovely and in good location but it was not up to standard in cleanliness.

Carpets filthy and burn marks on them. Wooden floors dirty. Cupboards dirty. Cooker pans dirty. Rubbish piled up at front door. Gardens full of weeds and unsafe decking. Not enough towels, toilet paper on arrival. Toilet seat in one of bathrooms unstable and unsafe ( elderly occupant could have had nasty fall!)

Very nice, great location

Great location, social space and garage.

It would have been even better with a coffee machine / cafetiere, serving spoons and enough knives snd forks for all 8 guests (we had to buy extra forks). Another en suite would mean that we'd book again.

Expensive. Dirty, dated and disappointing.

The location was excellent. Parking was useful. The layout of the property was nice and the beds were comfortable and linen freshly laundered. The host was initially very helpful I had to call him twice. Once to report the freezer and a second time about the lack of cutlery which he swiftly brought round. However sadly he didn't respond to an email I sent highlighting with photographs of some of the other areas of concern.

This property is not actually a true reflection of what is advertised, and it seems that no action has been taken from previous reviews online and My City Haven have only responded to the positive comments The house in desperate need updating and a thorough clean. For the amount of money that we paid we were very disappointed. The standard of cleanliness in the kitchen was appalling. The freezer was completely frozen shut and we had to partially defrost it to use it. The saucepans and baking trays were all dirty and the saucepan lids greasy and had food on them. There was waste food and gunk in the bottom of the dishwasher and the filter clogged up and food stuck inside. I had to clean the filter and run a cleaning cycle before we felt able to use it. Much of the crockery is chipped and glasses cracked, there were only 3 forks in the grubby cutlery drawer. The grill element is hanging down and probably should be condemned, the toaster is broken and I retrieved a mangled slice of bread and a pikelet once it had cooled down from smoking so much it set the fire alarms off! The windows don't open in the lounge or front bedroom and the blinds once pulled down wouldn't go back up. The family bathroom shower hose is kinked and balances precariously on the wall. The bedside cabinet drawer is broken and the 'sunny patio' decking is slippery and dangerous. I feel there should be some sort of recompense/refund available to us as we have to undertake what should have been routinely cleaned and checked by the housekeepers doing the changeover in this property.

Very good

Excellent location and great facilities, i.e.dishwasher, washing machine etc. They are all single beds which can be moved together if required! Large kitchen, dining and living area which suited us perfectly as a family of 8

Parking was a nightmare. A house of this size would typically have more than 1 car. Great that there is a garage, however everywhere is paid parking and for a few days, it is costly.

Really great location, clean and tidy base for a weekend in Bristol.

The house was in a great location, easy to access with lots of parking available and was a great size. All of the bedrooms were a great size, as were the bathrooms. 15/ 20 minutes walk to the centre and 5/10 minutes to bars/ shops.

Some elements of the house are starting to look a bit tired (marks on the carpet, dining chairs broken/ with tape on it), you could do we some more kitchen accessories (racks for the oven, trays etc.). We also didn't have any bathmats or tea towels/ oven gloves for the kitchen. You need to bring your own loo roll as well, we had half a roll in one of the bathrooms.

We enjoyed the stay because it had 4 bedrooms and location suited us

There was a tunnel of recycling piled by the front door that we had to pass by for 3 days. This could have been removed by cleaner or agent. The back patio was very unsavoury. Decking and balustrades in bad repair and the weeds had been cut back and just dumped in the well by the dungeon like bedroom. The carpets were very dirty , the sofas worn out which describes the general feel of the place. A very hard used property without much maintenance. The back door didn’t lock .

Buona posizione, comodo al centro città (20/25 minuti a piedi) e al quartiere di Clifton. Appartamento funzionale alle nostre necessità ma con qualche accorgimento da migliorare.

Purtroppo alcuni dei servizi indicati nella descrizione dell'appartamento non sono stati di facile utilizzo: pentolame obsoleto, assenza di macchina del caffè, lavatrice non funzionante, cestello della lavastoviglie rotto.
