Quiet, comfortable setting with welcoming staff.

The hosts and staff were welcoming, kind, and helpful. It was quiet and comfortable.

This is personal: I have a knee injury and the access to and from the property was challenging for me. All of Tepoztlan is hilly and stony, but at this location I was scared of falling while going down some of the hills to town, and coming back uphill, after dark especially. I booked for 4 nights but the hosts kindly understood my needs and allowed me to cancel the last 2 nights. In general, I think certain details should be mentioned by booking.com when describing properties.

The place was quite and relaxing. Loved the rustic vibe. No lux, but nothing uncomfortable. The hosts very nice and acomodating. The breakfast delicious.

I might suggest nets for mosquitos to be able to open the windows during the day. But Otherwise everything was perfect.

Wonderful stay in great setting.

I loved my stay here - mainly based on the super lovely staff, and a really cool setting. I got lots of tips and the breakfast was simple and delicious. I felt instantly relaxed coming from Mexico City. It was a comfy and spacious hostel room. I could use the washing machine for free.

Nothing to report - I went during the week so it was quite quiet with only two other guests.

Great place, great breakfast, great hosts, but weekend nights are noisy

The breakfast was excellent, and the owners were very kind. The location was close to all attractions.

To our surprise, Tepoztlan is a party town and loud music played nearby and throughout the town all Saturday night; this, of course, is not the hotels fault. Sunday night was very peaceful.

Amazing service, beautiful place, nice location a bit apart from the city center, but within walking distance. Nice garden, nice neighbourhood.

You can hear everything that happens in the corridor outside the room as if there was no door. Fortunately the other guests were usually not noisy, so it wasn't a big problem.

The hosts are amazing!!! They make you feel very welcome. The bed was comfortable. The grounds were lovely. And the views!!

One may find it a problem that it is quite a far uphill walk to get to the hostel, but that keeps it quiet.

A perfect place to be for a night at Tepoztlán

The house is close to the trail leading to the Archaeological zone and all the hustle and bustle. The staff is extremely friendly: my Spanish is very bad, but we still had a great talk with Juan. The breakfast was very good too. The room is cozy and clean, great water pressure in the shower and a cool-looking sink with cacti :)

Not the properties’ fault at all, but at night the music from the town is pretty loud. If you’re a light sleeper, that could be an issue.

Relaxing and friendly

The location away from the city with an incredible view, the owners are super friendly and helpful, small kitchen available. Clean and modern. I really liked my stay there, felt welcomed. The rooftop is still under construction but its a nice place to meditate, do yoga, with a beautiful view. I met really interesting people there.

Surrounded by beautiful mountains & people

One of our favourite stays in Mexico. The family that own it are so welcoming and lovely. It’s super clean and relaxing, and the breakfast was delicious. If we are ever in Tepoztlán again, we would 1000% stay here.

The location is great right in the mountain so perfect for hiking and visiting the pyramid! The hostel is lovely, great view, lovely garden to relax, super soft bedding and really clean overall! Often pictures are taken after a recent refurb and on arrival you realise it's not as nice... This place is honestly as nice as in the pictures!! The staff are all friendly and accomodating, I increased my stay by a few nights! I can't wait to visit again!

The owners are the most wonderful people. Such an open heart and filled with kindness. They help you with everything you need and they make you feel comfortable and like home from the second you walk in. Close to the mountains. Wich is perfect for amazing hikes.

An amazon place with the perfect hosts!

My brother and I stayed at Juan's place for a few nights and we had a thoroughly brilliant time! Juan and his partner were incredible. They were friendly and hospitable and went above and beyond what we expected. We left feeling as if we had made new friends. The accommodation was clean and spacious and the whole experience was one to remember! Thanks very much for creating such a memorable stay!

One of the best places I have been! I booked for 2 nights and ended up extending my stay. Juan and his family are extremely lovely. The building is new and very well decorated with a nice view over the mountains. Clean, well located in a quiet area of the town and close to the center. Good breakfast and with a kitchen in the garden where to cook and relax. Highly recommend!

Extraordinarily sweet, kind, and welcoming owners in charge of a gorgeous property.

The property is gorgeous. The view is amazing, the chairs and hammocks are comfortable, there is plenty of plants to make you feel at ease, and everything is kept immaculate. Additionally, the owners (Juan and Caroline(?)) are easily some of the friendliest and kindest people I have ever met. I could write a book about them, but I only have so many words here. They are incredible.

Lovely and comfortable place

Maria Tepozteca is super well located. It is in a charming neighborhood in the town. Juan and Carolina (the owners) are extremely kind and will help you with everything you need. My stay was amazing, the bed was comfortable, the place was very clean, you have a beautiful view, they have hot showers, the breakfast is nice too :) Thank youuuuuu <3

Incredible time at this hotel!

The family that runs it is so hospitable!!! They were helping with directions, advice, and they even lent me some foam pads so I could do some yoga on their rooftop. The sunset & mountains were magical!!! Muchísima Gracias!
