A very nice hotel and excellent value for money. Our room was super spacious. Breakfast was amazing!

The room was very nice, spacious, and clean. We really loved it. Breakfast was amazing, and the bed was very comfortable. The guy at the bar/coffee shop was very friendly and super professional. He was pleasant and smiling. The gentleman at the breakfast reception was very friendly. He made our mornings perky with his smile and hearty greetings. The receptionists were okay. However, I think they could be more enthusiastic in greeting guests. A simple good morning and a smile or an acknowledgement would be nice to make the guests feel welcome. They were definitely not rude, and I think they are polite, but I somehow miss the friendly greetings I've gotten at other places I have stayed. This is just a suggestion for improvement, not a negative comment. The hotel is literally 10 steps from the bus stop and gas station. Very handy! They have guest parking, which is really a plus, especially for people with disabilities. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in Heidelberg.

Nice stay, clean room and helpful staff.

The room was the perfect size for a two night stay. We got a complimentary water bottle and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We traveled by car, so the parking space was perfect for us. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel and the staff can call a taxi whenever needed.

Not worth the money

Executive room we originally received was poor. No mention that at check-in that you have no phone in room. Good part we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was good.

Staff entering hotel room unauthorised

In the morning a male staff member entered the room immediately after knocking, without waiting for door to be answered - this happened at least an hour before check-out time. He did not wait for door to be answered and opened the door as female teenager was getting dressed. This was totally unacceptable. We were unable to raise this issue at the time as she was so upset she did not tell us until after we had left the hotel.

NO air conditioning, spotty WiFi

Staff was excellent, location is excellent, food in the actual evening restaurant and bar was excellent.

NO air conditioning, despite what they say, despite what they advertised.....waiting until May 1st to change over from the fan blowing past hot water pipes....in the ceiling of every room....to now have the fan blow past the cold water, or....cooler water pipes....in the ceiling of every room, is NOT air conditioning. Then to have the hotel maintenance engineer take May 1st off, because in Germany that is May Day, means that on a day when the outside temperature hits 34 C.....there is no relief from the heat. When the hotel maintenance engineer shows up on Nay 2nd, he has to go to each and every room of this 169 room hotel, get on a ladder access the ceiling panels, so he can change the hot to cold water fan blowing....in EVERY room in the hotel....one room at a time. The WiFi is spotty at best. Doing work on a laptop or tablet, or phone is precarious, if you need to send an email. Unforeseen closure of the hotel restaurant, with no earlier notice, is troublesome, as a guest plans to eat in the hotel restaurant, only to find it closed, arbitrarily.

Very disappointing experience!

We had a very disappointing experience during our stay!. Around 3:30 PM on 18th April, the lady at the reception assigned us room in the first floor (room no. 324 if I remember correctly), which had a very strong and unpleasant odour coming from the room or bathroom. The smell was so bad that it hit us the moment we walked in. While the room appeared prepared and the beddings were clean, the odour made it impossible to feel comfortable. What upset us even more was the receptionist’s rude behaviour. When we went down to inform her, she was extremely dismissive and unprofessional. I told her this was not the kind of experience we expected from Leonardo, and her response was, “Wherever you go, it’s the same.” That level of attitude and lack of concern was completely unacceptable. Additionally, although we had selected a double bed during booking, the listing on Booking.com mentioned "either double or twin bed." Instead of acknowledging our preference, she again responded rudely and gave us another room with twin beds. The new room didn’t have the same odour issue, but by then, the overall experience had already been spoiled. We didn’t enjoy our stay. Please do not suggest such hotels in the future!!!

You never go wrong with Leonardo. The facilities are great, and plenty of parking is available. Great value for money.

The bedroom is smaller than usual. It is a little bit far from the city center but it is convenient if you are driving because you can park there and take the bus, which is not far.

Superb

Very cosy and caring by design - it was a perfect place to rest during an intense trip. You find nice touches everywhere - free lemonade all day, free coffee in the morning provided at the reception, big outdoor seating in front of the hotel... And there is a petrol station just next to the hotel for all necessities.

Dining offer was a 25eur buffet, bit pricey for my taste. But Dominos pizza is nearby and they deliver to the hotel for free.
