Unpleasant stay due to ants, extreme heat, and lack of responsiveness from staff

The bathroom was decent but it ends there.

I arrived at Hotel Ariane Montparnasse with my cat. Upon arrival, I had to wait because the room wasn’t ready, I had arrived early for check-in. As soon as I was given access to the room, I set up my cat’s food, as she needed to eat. But the moment I placed her food down, a swarm of ants gathered around it. I immediately removed the food, cleaned the area, and notified the front desk… who did absolutely nothing. So I had to clean the room myself and handle the issue on my own. For the rest of the stay, I kept my cat’s food sealed in a Ziploc bag I had fortunately brought with me, just to avoid attracting more ants. This forced me to spend more time in the room to monitor the situation, which added unnecessary stress. The room was also very noisy the first night, though the people making noise left the next day. The room was extremely hot despite the presence of a fan. The bathroom, however, was very nice, the only positive aspect of the stay. I would not return to this hotel.

Great quiet location with a super restaurant close by the metro. Easy to access all the main sites in the city.

It was clean, quiet & any easy walk to the metro and bus system.

There were no tea / coffee facilities in the rooms but there was is reception. I enjoy a hot drink first thing in the morning before having to go downstairs.

Perfectly adequate.

This hotel is well located in a charming neighborhood. The staff is kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the sheets and pillows were high quality.

Although booking.com requested and confirmed early check-in for me, it was not available. However, the staff held my baggage until my room was ready. The room has no water glasses, only cheap quality paper cups, no coffee machine, no Kleenex. In this case, breakfast should be included in the room rate.

No AC, hot rooms, elevator is old and cranky, sheets and towels were not so clean, funky smell, staff could be a bit more helpful, no shower door
