Delighful stay in central Torquay

A Little Disapointing But Suited Our Needs...

Large house so enough space for everyone (party of 6 adults and 2 kids). 5min walk to the town/high street. Fast response from the host when we had issues connecting to WiFi. Basic amenities supplied. Left a box of toys for the kids which was a really lovely thing to do. Quiet location and close to family so suited our visit.

Quite rundown and not very clean. Had to rewash plates/cups before using. Seems like hosts rely on the previous guests to clean up after themselves and unfortunately this meant for us the place wasn't as nice as it could be. Dirty Carpets upstairs. When using the 2nd floor bath it pushes dirt up threw the plughole in the 1st floor bathroom and this bathroom also has quite a bit of mould around the tub. We ended up cleaning and bleaching the bath ourselves to get rid of the grime that came up through the plughole. I think it would be lovely for the hosts to spend some time renovating this bathroom to the standard of the upstairs bathroom. For such a large house would also be good for guests to be supplied more than one key.

Beautiful house but customer service is amiss

The property itself was very roomy and beautifully decorated. Great views.

I had every intention of staying again, and in fact wrote to the agent to tell them about some plumbing issues, which my colleague had in fact rectified. I was then told I'm being charged for cleaning fees which are really nonsense. Obviously I won't be staying again. A real shame.

Fantastic and well kept property

Fantastic property, very well kept with good quality furniture and appliances. The property had everything we needed for a week in Torquay and we would have happily stayed longer. We had great communication from the hosts. I would highly recommend this place!

APARTMENT OVER HOTELS

- very good location with a kids play area outside, the kids and adults loved it. Wasnt busy. - rooms were spacious and decorated really nicely. - clean rooms and kitchen throughout. - everything was included, all appliances, washing machine etc, hoover - good Virgin Wi-fi connection - the managers wer very helpful and tentative and always answered my calls. - The house was nice and good for a medium to large family. Much better than staying at a hotel and would stay here again. Me and my family really enjoyed this property and will be booking again. Thank you booking.com and Marika team. Thumps up all the way!!!

There was a strong smell of alcohol on the ground floor and maybe needed a good mop, other than that everthing else was good. - maybe include foil/clingfilm for people who cook - extra bedding just incase the bed sheets gets dirty.

We had a great holiday

Very close to town, a set of steps between the houses leads straight to high street , spacious bedrooms, brand new kitchen and bathroom, antique furniture.The back garden is a sun trap and we could enjoy the sun until it sets

Not very clean had to wash all the pots before we used them (what pots there was)and we had to clean the kitchen floor.

Multi Generational Family Break

The location was really central only a short walk to the Marina which was great as we didn’t need to take the car out everyday. The kitchen is new and well equipped, it had everything we needed. Lots of bedroom space, all of the bedrooms are huge. The back terrace is a real sun trap in the afternoons

The parking is on street, most days we were able to park close by but other times we had to park at the top of the road. This is fine for the most part but a bit difficult when we arrived and needed to unload. The walk in to town is very steep with around 80 steep steps down on the way in up on the way back. This was fine for us as my parents are only in their 60’s and quite fit but may be a challenge for others.
