A good hotel, can’t knock it, nice and warm breakfast could be served a little later but hey ho.

Lovely property

The bed was a little hard and breakfast could be served a little later. However I must say that the hotel host did make us a lovely breakfast butty to take away which was waiting for us at the bottom of the stairs.

Good B&B in a rather unremarkable place but very close to the fells

The breakfast was the best part of the stay. Very friendly and helpful owners.

Our room was extremely small and the bathroom too. The bed was very narrow. No place to set our bags and let garments dry out. Surrounding nit very attractive. Lots of rain

We had to leave a day early as I couldn’t do another night sleeping on the floor with a bad back.

Paul and Angela was very friendly and would help answer any questions. The food was very nice. The room was lovely and clean.

We didn’t like the fact we couldn’t get anywhere taxis would not pick up or drop at this location. It was like the hotel was black listed. The bed was very uncomfortable I think a prison bed would have been more comfortable. (We slept on the floor on the second night) There was nothing to do in the area you had to drive to get anywhere. The bright light out the front of the hotel shined right through the bedroom at night. We could hear every time someone flushed the toilet. The heating in the room wasn’t very good in the room so it was always cold. We had to buy a blanket to keep warm. The shower never got hot so we couldn’t use that the hot tap in the sink was hotter. The internet was very slow had to use my hotspot to connect up to the tv. To watch it. The remote didn’t work very well with the tv it was like batteries were running low.

Excelent location, Great Hosts, Fantastic Breakfast and quick access to the Lakes.

We both ordered the Full English breakfast which was piping hot and tasted great. The rooms were as expected with a great selection of refreshments and very clean and tidy. Noise levels were acceptable for a hotel set in a quiet location.

There was nothing during the stay which we didn't like.

Comfortable stay with friendly hosts

Very clean and well done out. 6 year old said it smelled ‘beautiful’ and the breakfast was delicious.

The only slight downside was the bathroom was a bit dated but even then the shower was powerful, which was appreciated.

Quick stop over between Scotland - England

Angela and Paul are very welcoming and friendly. Very homely and comfortable and clean guest house. Literally like popping into your aunties and uncles for the weekend..will make sure you've eaten enough🤣and offer you coats/hoody if you forgot yours 🤣👍 perfect base to go out and explore.

The gists Anjela and Paul were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable.

The road noise was audible in the room .. it was not a busy road .. but if you are a light sleeper ..it’s worth noting .

Lovely property just 10 mins walk from the beautiful coast line. Fantastic breakfast both days we were here, the owner is incredibly attentive. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay on the west coast in Cumbria, can’t fault them.

Upon arrival we received the warmest welcome from the hosts, helped take our bags up to a very cosy double bedroom, breakfast area was laid out lovely with options for continental and hot food to order, it really did feel like home away from home and we felt extremely well looked after. The property also had easy access to come and go as we pleased.

Perfect location not far from local beach chippy and ice cream parlour, tasty local Chinese, shop nearby, everything you need for a comfortable stay

Excellent stay, only stayed one night for work. room, breakfast and staff all good.

Breakfast was great, I forgot to ask for poached eggs but I'm sure I could have had them. The fried eggs were nice anyway. Room was extremely comfortable and clean.

Fabulous stay!

Cumbrian Lodge is a fantastic place to stay if you are exploring the West Lake District / Western Fells! The hosts are lovely and could not do more for us. The room has everything you need and the shower is lovely and hot. The breakfast was beautiful.

The mattress was a little bit hard but didn’t bother us too much.

Lovely and cosy stay at Cumbrian Lodge

Cumbrian Lodge felt very inviting, warm and cosy during our stay. Hosts were lovely people, informed us of the social club and cricket club for drinks, play pool, darts etc and meet other family members. Myself and partner have been staying at Seascale for many years and never knew about the social club. Room was very cosy, shower was lovely and hot, all facilities to hand that you would normally have. Mattress was alittle hard unfortunately but that did not ruin our stay and we would come back but dont think i would last more than 2 nights. Breakfast was beautiful, loved the little extras "Cumbrian Butter". We will be coming back as we visit regular to see family, such a lovely place to stay. Thank you for having us.

Very disappointed after high expectations from earlier reviews

Good location for sunsets and access to Wasdale and Eskdale- the reason for going here

Bathroom was very small and dirty- lots of dust and hair, plus the outside of the toilet pan didn’t look like it had been cleaned in weeks as it was thick with dust. Splashes of toilet waste on door stencil which was right next to the toilet.

Welcoming, great location and superb breakfast!!

Such a warm welcome and staff were so helpful and gave us lots of tips about where to go. Seascale beach is just a short walk away and is absolutely stunning. Spent the day there and then went back to watch the sunset in the evening. West Water lake is absolutely beautiful....definately worth a visit. Breakfast was superb and nothing was too much trouble. Great location and stunning scenery!! Thanks for a great stay.

The location so close to the sea and to pubs and restaurants was great. We received a very warm welcome. The host was very informative and friendly. It was was nice and quiet at night and the bed was extremely comfortable so we got a very good sleep. The breakfast was amazing and very generous.

Pleasant stay in a hotel close to the beach

The hosts were very friendly and the hotel was in a great location, close to the beach; although Seascale itself isn’t very scenic, the seashore / beach was beautiful.

The rooms could have been cleaner, and the breakfast was very basic - for the price I paid I expected a better standard.

Spotlessly clean, room has lots of little extras, kettle water, tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits etc. Paul & Angela were very accommodating, breakfast and coffee was amazing, they could not do enough for you!
