Les Ilots - Joseph Blanc apartment 2 rooms on the lake wifi & balcony

The location was wonderful! I highly recomend it, it was definietly worth the money. Right by the lake, as well as the old center, and all the shopping streets. The bus stop is at the corner, which we used a lot. Monoprix is less than 5 minutes walk away. The apartment itself is large and very comfortable. We stayed there for 2 weeks, with our 8 year old. It was perfect for us, but may feel crowded if more people stay there. There were 2 air conditioners, in the living room and small bedroom, as well as 2 small dyson fans in the large bedroom. We were there in August and never had any problem with heat. The 2 bathrooms are very nice and modern, with more than enough towels provided for us. The kitchen was also very modern and functional, anything you may need was provided. We especially liked the faucet that gave out cold or carbonated filtered water (although it stopped working just before we left). The building has a lift, which was very useful since the apartment is at the fourth floor.

As others mentioned, the hardwood floors creek a lot, the noise is unavoidable, which may be a problem if people staying together sleep or wake up at different hours. Be aware that eventough there are 2 bathrooms, there is only one toilette, in a seperate closet of its own. The couch in the living room is not a very comfortable bed, if you intend to sleep on it. The least important detail: decoration is a bit too much, you quickly get tired of the hugh wall ornaments. But what I disliked most was the faux animal hide rug in the living room. It was very dirty and crowded the space..

The property well decorated and well equipped. Great location for the town, in a quieter area so no noise at night. Easy check in and check out. The team were flexible on arrival and departure times.

The property was in a nice location with good parking across the street. We were able to check in a little earlier than allocated 4.00pm. The kitchen was well equiped but we didn’t really get to use it due to no english provided and power outage.

We were given a very fast tour of the apartment. When I asked for instructions in english for the appliances I was told no english provided, if you don’t know then Google it. We have been travelling Europe for 5 weeks now and this is the first time I have come across this approach. As the host left he told us “if the power goes out and sometimes it does go to this cupboard, do this….go to that room do that….. and power will come back”. Just on dark as we were trying to get some washing done and heat up some food the power went out. I contacted the host and his response was “I already told you what to do” eventually he came back with more instructions when I suggested he needed to come and sort it out. It is not acceptable for us to be sorting out electrical issues, and this has clearly happened in the past and needs to be rectified. This happened twice that evening and we gave up on using any other appliances. We found the property to be superficially clean, the common surfaces were all clean but the apartment was very dusty. The balcony was very grubby and not somewhere you would want to enjoy your food. I know the reviews have been good on this property and that was why we booked it but it was far from our experience here. We have enjoyed so many other apartment style rentals in Europe, this one was a very different experience and we felt very unsupported by the host. If you are advertising in a global market then you need to provided instructions to cater for everyone not just in French.
