This is a nice cottage that is well presented and in a good location.
When we arrived, we opened the back door and stepped straight in a dog poo. Whilst there is a sign up about the back door, it is not in an obvious location and should have been on the back door itself.
The broadband - which was critical for part of our party - was out of order for 75% of our visit and never worked again despite being reset multiple times.
Just about all of the crockery, glasses and cutlery were dirty when we arrived - with food residue on them - and needed washing before use.
The boiler failed to work on Sunday leaving us with no heating or hot water for the last morning of our trip.

Location great. Quaint cottage. Nice open plan down stairs. Good size bedrooms
In need of some TLC. Damp smell. Needs a lick of paint, especially in the kitchen. Carpets are old and need replaced. Sofas could be replaced or deep cleaned. Double Bed frame creaks every time you move, which I noticed was a comment on the guest book from 2015,presumably not the same bed frame. All in, i didn't think it was good value for money on the condition presented.

It is very convenient for the amenities in Staveley including chippy, shops, cafes, public EV car chargers, and also very close to the road to Kentmere for the Kentmere horseshoe (4miles away). In addition, it is a good property for those with a dog.
Not always possible to park outside property, but other street parking options nearby.

Great location, lovely cottage with all the facilities you need for a short stay away from home.
On street parking outside the cottage is a bit hit and miss, but there’s plenty of parking within a very short distance

Location beautiful.
There was no backyard fir the dog. Would have liked a footstool in the lounge.

Great location. Close to bus and train.
Reasonable price for the quality.
Board game and leaflets left.
No idea where our bin was, no clear signage.
Smelly cushions & rug in living room, which were dry clean only.
General smell in living room which smelled like it had been mopped with a dirty mop. So it was clean, but smelled bad.
Single bed mattress has seen better days, springs in back.

The cottage was located in a lovely village, with good amenities (shops, pub, chip shop,) good walks from your door step. Cottage had everything you needed for a lovely stay. Good bus connections right on your door step.
All was great, nothing to dislike other than having to come home.

The location is amazing, staveley is a lovely village close to windermere about a 7 minute drive. The pub round the corner is lovely and so is the fish and chips! So much to do in the area, no place quite like it.
Could do with a bit of paint and new carpet as there are a few marks. No garden either so was a bit of a pain with my dog having to take her out at night for the toilet.

It is a cottage, so no breakfast. It is very complete with everything. Nice location also.
It is a bit noisy from the neighbours. And I really missed nice chairs to sit outsite. Inside it's a bit dark and cold and outsite was a heatwave...
