Lovely town visit

Great location and flexibility for town access, right on the promenade with lovely views and a short walk to the centre.

Very minimal in regards to facilities as an apartment. No tea or coffee, no tea towel or washing liquid in kitchen. No toilet upstairs and shower door wheels were not working. Also, the stairs up to the bedroom without toilet - were steep.

Great building with character and excellent restaurant

Fabulous building - was the town hall built in early 20th century. Lovely big room. Friendly staff - were able to squeeze us into the restaurant at short notice on our arrival and the restaurant was fantastic with really good formule menus and excellent food (well worth booking in advance). Great location on the river front in St-Valery with a short walk to the old medieval town and the riverfront 19th century frontage. Free car parking on site, but it does get a bit busy with restaurant customers.

It was a bit expensive, but actually well worth paying a bit more for the experience.

Interesting hotel with great restaurant

The restaurant is exceptional, and the location is perfect for enjoying the town. The building is unusual and has many layers. The bed was large and comfortable.

The room was a little tired but didn't spoil our stay. The bedside shelf was damaged and coming off the wall, all minor stuff.

If your looking for a gym, swimming pool, spa and conference facilities you will be unhappy. If you want a nice traditional hotel, with a really good restaurant and lovely staff with a great view. This is the place to be.

Small compact room in a perfect location

Hotel is right on the seafront. Lots of parking, and a short and easy walk along the promenade into the centre of town. The room was small, especially the bathroom, but clean and comfortable. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but it was nearly fully booked on the Thursday night we visited.

The lack of a lift meant we had to carry our cases up a narrow staircase.

In the apartment opposite the main building the toilet is downstairs ( not good for the middle of the night !) and the shower up. While it wasn’t a problem for us, people who book need to be made aware of this . Also WiFi doesn’t work in the apartment.

A comfortable hotel in a good location with a free car park and good restaurant - would happily stay

The location was good and the free car park was great. We paid for a sea view room and that was lovely. We had a meal in the restaurant and the food and service were excellent. The hotel is an old building but our room was well decorated and furnished and the bathroom was modern with a good walk in shower.

Would have been helpful to have had the WiFi login details in the room rather than just displayed at reception as we had gone to bed before we realised that we needed them.

A comfortable return to a favourite place

We have stayed here as a couple several times and this was our first post Covid return to France. The hotel is in a brilliant location in a lovely town and the staff are pleasant and helpful. This time we were with our son and the three of us were lodged in an apartment which is in a separate building across the car park from the main building. This was clearly newly decorated and was spacious being on two floors. It also had its own kitchenette. Breakfast in the main building was excellent with lovely crusty bread and home made jam (and madeleines). Parking for guests remains free which is a bonus.

Only one niggle: the hotel WiFi clearly did not extend to the annex in which the apartment is situated.
