Very quiet rural location

Good quality fixtures and fittings. Well equipped. Comfortable bed.

Superficially clean, but shower needs attention. Oven unusable. Poor task lighting. Lights under kitchen cupboards not working. One of cooker hood lights didn't work and the other so dirty it didn't serve any purpose.

Magnificent location. Spacious rooms, very well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Parking outside the property very convenient. Only 10 minutes drive away, Stanhope has a good selection of shops and eating establishments. The Cross Keys, a 5 minute drive away at East Gate, was excellent with tasty food.

Relaxing after long walks on the hillsides.

Lane to reach the cottage is very rough - it is mentioned in the details, but it should be sorted. Someone local owns a small digger - get them to level it a bit.

Nice and relaxing cottage.

Lovely place, in a tiny village. Well equiped kitchen, also some DVDs, games, books and jigsaws in the lounge. Sitting on terraced garden in an evening listening to birds and watching rabbits

Parking can be a little tight. Make sure you do your food shop before you arrive, just a small co-op in Stanhope.

Fab cottage, comfortable beds, lovely views, well equipped for self catering.

It is quite remote although you're in a terrace of houses so slightly odd mix. Car definitely needed other than walks out back door.

Beautiful scenery. Homely well equipped and spacious cottage.

Parking at the property was a bit tricky , especially in the parking bay at the rear. The cottage was accessed via an uphill gravel track.

A great short break. Ideal location for us with good views with our morning coffees.

The location is well equipped. The big plus for us was the two showers/toilets. Many (more expensive) properties we looked at only had one, but with five of us (three adults, two children) getting ready and out each day was made smoother by the extra bathroom facilities.. The property is really well equipped and the pictures really do not do the actual size and space justice.

The road to the property is not tarmaced BUT for the children it added to the adventure. The property is properly in the country side so the stone road is really a minor gripe, although for many I could see this being an issue. For us, this merely added to the charm.
