About this cottage rental
This is a fun quirky place to stay.Cosy , clean and comfortable. It is well equipped for 2 to stay to enjoy the shropshire hills and surrounding villages and towns. It is situated on the first floor up external steps. It is timber framed and has a balcony in which you can sit and enjoy the field view. The studio is well equipped with fitted kitchen oven fridge freezer kettle toaster microwave. It is centrally heated has a dining table and chairs for 4 leather sofa bed smart tv dvd machine and a superking bed on a raised platform. The upstairs bathroom has bath, overhead shower, toilet and basin. Downstairs is a shared utility space with wahsing machine fryer and lockable shower room. If yu need to store cycles securely you can have a key for the utility room. The property may not be suitable for people with limited ability to navigate steps and platforms. It also has some restricted headroom to the sides.
Shrewsbury is 8 miles away and is a buzzy market town with a beautiful river to explore..you could hire a canoe or paddleboard for an afternoon. Ludlow is also a short drive away (about 35 mins) with delicious food, markets and a castle. Attingham park is very near, as is wroxeter roman city. Ironbridge is a fabulous glimpse into our industrial heritage. So many hills to explore, streams to discover, a reservoir for wild swimming all near Church Stretton. Walking cycling and running are all easy to do . We can provide a key to the utility if you wish to store your bike in there securely. The owners live next door and are on call to help if you need any. 2 pibs within walking distance the fox at ryton and the horseshoes in dorrington. nearest grocery shop is in dorrington.

This was a perfect place to stay in the countryside for our needs. Emma and Richard are lovely hosts who respect privacy but are contactable if needed. The barn conversion is lovely and the surrounding countryside makes it easy to explore. You may hear the odd train scoot by in the distance once or twice a day, but it's not invasive given the rest of the day is just birdsong and serenity. Dora is a lovely cat who visited us most mornings and evening, just to say hello, which really made the stay even more special. Thank you Emma and Richard

So beautiful and quiet. The best view to wake up to. We really enjoyed our time here, with amazing walks right on your doorstep, and the lovely Shrewsbury to visit. We did Kayaking down the river seven from Shrewsbury which I would totally recommend. It felt like we had the river to ourselves. Everything was just stunning and so nice to have the cosy barn to come back to. Lovely hosts and a lovely little get away.
