Ideal property for large group, maybe bit more attention to cleaning

Warm, welcoming atmosphere, well equipped and laid out kitchen/diner, the two lounge areas are a good idea

Only one towel per person provided, always had two at least in any other property stay. Double room upstairs had only 3 coat hangers, we only stayed 2 nights but for longer stays more would be needed. Found lot of dust around radiator bases and a filthy baby’s bib behind curtains, maybe a final check on cleaning?

Very thin walls between upstairs bedrooms could basically hear everything in the bedroom next to each other .

Great place to base your stay in a beautiful area. Only needs a few tweaks to be perfect!

We loved the cottage, its location, the garden, the view, the hot tub and the surrounding area. My bed was comfortable but my sister said she found hers a bit hard. There was some useful information on local walks, one of which we followed and thoroughly enjoyed. All in all a really good base for Shropshire and at a very reasonable price.

We found the kitchen difficult to work in as the table took up so much space. We like cooking but found we were lacking both crockery and cutlery and were often having to take things out of the dishwasher to wash by hand so that there was enough to go round. If you can accommodate 6 guests you really need 12 of everything to prevent guest having to do this. We lacked a tray for carrying drinks through to another room or out into the garden and a bread board would also have been welcome!

Good location, very well equipped, and enjoyed the hot tub. Local pub served excellent food.

Property wasn't quite ready when we arrived despite arriving after the 3pm check-in time. The owner said there had been a miscommunication about our arrival date. The issue was quickly resolved and the property was clean and very comfortable.

It was perfectly adequate as a base for a weekend stay

Good location (if coming by car). Key safe arrangement works well.

Layout is strange with two small living room areas either side of the property and the upper rooms not connected. No bin bags were provided and the kitchen equipment is on the poor side of basic. Two bathrooms, but those sleeping in the twin room have a long way to go in the middle of the night. A few books on local walks etc. would have been nice.

Exceptional

The accommodation was cosy and comfortable We liked the sound of birds and sheep in the mornings and quietness in the evenings. The kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. We didn’t meet the host but appreciated the homemade cake which was a lovely touch. Didn’t use the hot tub.

Thin walls particularly upstairs. Couple of non stick saucepans need replacing as are badly scratched.
