Overall it was a really nice stay at Loft Mango, just be prepared to call on transport.

Rouge Loft Mango is located on a quiet residential street out of the main area of Ubud which was pleasant to return to after the craziness of Ubud central. The couches were very comfortable, the pool great to swim in and interior design very attractive, showcasing interesting art and craft. The property is serviced daily by friendly staff and fortunately there is a laundry down the road as there is no access to the laundry at the property.

We felt it was located a little too far away from any services so a taxi was definitely necessary to get into Ubud itself, walking having proven to take well over an hour and on some pretty tricky roads. Fortunately we were able to get some supplies by calling into a supermarket after a day trip north. The master bedroom is huge and well appointed but at the cost of the second bedroom where there is a severe lack of storage space for cases and belongings for guests using that room. The exterior walls could certainly do with a wash to showcase the property to its full advantage.

We had a lovely time at Mango Loft. The butler, Sri, and her staff were really helpful. The villa is very nice, perhaps over-priced for its location and kitchen amenities. The staff are great but it is clear that the owners do not like to pay for maintenance. There were little things that were a bit annoying. The toilet behind the kitchen has a door can’t be opened from inside - clearly it’s been like that for long time… we nearly had an unfortunate disaster there. The main bedroom door doesn’t close properly - you have to lock it closed to keep the bugs out. The painted concrete is a nice finish, but it is now stained with mould - it needs repainting or a high-pressure clean. The kitchen was ok but it was a bit disappointing that there were no basic provisions…you arrive and immediately have to go shopping. If we had known, we would have bought our own salt, pepper, oil, milk, tea - those basics that most apartments provide nowadays. We had a bit of a battle to get a decent kitchen knife… there was just a very small paring knife to do everything. Eventually, Sri was able to persuade the owner to pay for two longer knives which was great. Thanks Sri! There was no clothes iron, however we found a very friendly laundry close by who charged very little for an ironing service. The rooms are comfortable, good aircon, very comfortable bed. I wasn’t a fan of the “rain” shower - I used the normal one outside. And my partner loved the bath. The second room is just as good but with no bath. The rooms aren’t connected, you have to go outside to move next door….good for two couples. There is no TV, just two Bluetooth speakers, we watched a couple of films on our iPad. Wifi is not bad. The pool is lovely.

I love the interior design, nicely decorated with Balinese crafts and modern art by local artists. Good lighting design. Very tasteful. I wanted to buy everything that was on display. Very spacious for our family of four. My sons really enjoyed the pool. The kitchen is well equipped/ The bed very comfortable. We slept very well. Loved the rain showers, bath tub, outdoor shower.

Need a key to lock the doors of bedrooms and front door. A very slight inconvenience.

The property is more beautiful than the pics. The staff Sri was amazing responsive and so kind. she has a heart of gold and made us feel so at home.

The property is modern, clean and just simply fantastic. would recommend this property to anyone visiting Ubud.

A comfortable and luxurious stay in a nice neighborhood in Bali

Mrs Sri and her helpers were great. The villa is very spacious and comfortable inside. We liked the pool, long enough for real swimming. We were very happy to be in Sayan, a little bit away from the hurdle and bustle of Ubud. We arranged for our own breakfast, a lady and her niece came to make breakfast. You can ask in the neighborhood, maybe some will do it. Very modern feel to the villa inside. We liked the minimalistic design - all clean and straight lines, tasteful furnishings and art, and some nice little touches like good soap etc.

Nothing really. I would have liked some more kitchen knives for preparing meals, ie cutting and slicing. There are just enough cups and glasses, not one too many! Again, everything was fine. The outside of the villa is not giving away how nice it is inside. Also, there is no view to the outside - this didn’t bother us much, because you have your own oasis inside, but may be important to some people who visit Bali.

Amazingly styled and comfortable Villa.

This place is really amazing and it was well beyond our expectations. From the quality of the furniture, the feeling and look of the natural stone walls, the amazing pool and the Bathtub and the Rain Showers this loft is worth every penny and more. We were assisted by Gede who was so helpful whenever we had questions etc. The place is so comfortable you sometimes like not leaving especially the couches! Highly recommended.

Great villa for small families or couples in Saya

Beautiful modern villa in Sayan, great rooms, incredible open lounge space with the comfiest couches ever. Very secure, parking spaces if you have scooters or car, lovely staff, very clean.

Ensuite bathrooms don't have a door so connect directly to the bedroom- a bit weird and not well explained. There's also only 1 set of keys which makes it challenging for a group.

Modern chic villa located in popular Sayan

It was clearly a newly completed villa. The whole thing was new and clean. Aesthetically furnished with well set up kitchen and great interior lighting. There’s bit of green areas with sizeable living and very comfy sofa. Bedroom size are quite generous and the big rain shower is a bonus features. Good sized swimming pool. I love the design of the villa. The big glass window night means bit of door gain during daytime but the AC in the room are quite powerful. The big trees surrounding the unit as the backdrop of the villa is quite lush and gave great homey and relaxing ambiance. The staff were excellent and accomodating. All in all, I would stay again if the price hasn’t increased significantly.

I found out there requires big deposit upon check in though they’re happy to dismiss as I was just staying for a night. Not sure many people would expect big deposit for daily rental unit booked trough booking.com . Make sure you clarify this with them before booking.
