Overall fair experience. We only needed somewhere to sleep.

Great location.

The rooms are too hot in summer, we couldn’t sleep at night & too cold in autumn (October).

Pretty outdated and basic, if location is a must then ok, otherwise pay additional £10 and find safer place

Location, staff and price

Outdated, one window that located in the communal outside corridor, this meant I had to choose to keep awake and have some sort of air in the room as it was hot or sleep safely with the window closed. Been not the safest location and this been France.

Cheap and cheerful but in a bad area

The fact that it has secure parking was good, especially as we were travelling by motorcycle. The staff were friendly helpful. It was priced very competitively. Comfy beds.

The whole place feels neglected and run down. Our bathroom was actually quite nice but the bedroom had seen better days and really needed a refurb. While the location is near to the centre, the neighbourhood isn't the best, with lots of rubbish in the streets and some dodgy-looking characters hanging about. Not exactly the sort of place I'd want to be walking the streets after dark, not that you'd want to anyway because apart from a local Aldi nearby, there isn't much in the way of local amenities. It's clearly a cheap and cheerful place that's popular with local workmen, as the car park is full of work vans. If you need a budget-friendly stopover, and you're not fussy, this would probably fit the bill.

Very disappointed about this stay

Close to city centre

It doesn't look like the pictures at all. We paid for a superior double room and we received a small room, ugly with an uncomfortable bed. It was cold in the room despite the fact that we turned on the heat. Very disappointed especially that the room has nothing to do with the pictures that they presented

Good place to spend the night for little money.

Good price/quality. No nonsense, clean and functional. Everything functioned as it should be. Good for a short stay. Even during the cold, snow and icy rain the room stayed lovely and warm. Central location, close to shopping centre, restaurants, metro and railway station.

The building itself has become a little dated, especially the outside and entrance to the rooms. Minor communication error with the lady at reception, although not really a problem. After icy rain the stairs become slippery and due to snow the parking and building entrance became dangerously slippery too (but so was the whole of the town)

Don’t stay here, it’s horrible.

I didn’t like anything about the property. The room bore no resemblance at all to the photographs on booking.com. It claimed to be 2 stars. If inspected it would not be a 1 star

We had 2 rooms, for 2 nights,they both smelled of smoke. Room 5 overwhelmingly so. They were both shabby and dirty, the wiring was unsafe. On requesting a refund I was advised that this would require management approval. That was 4 days ago. I’ve heard nothing.

Has the essentials for a short stay - comfortable and affordable.

Beds were comfortable. Clean bathroom and mirrors available in the room. Good security- gated access to hotel. Comfortable for a short stay. Plenty of guest parking available.

Breakfast selection was very limited. Would give a higher rating if this was better - perhaps add eggs to the menu. No facility to call reception from the room. Had to physically go downstairs to speak to reception which can be draining when it is just a little request or question you have. More hangers in the bathroom would be great - there was no railing to hang up my towel.

Location is very good and close to the city center. There have parking. The bed is good

The room doesn't have hair dryer, electric water kettle, no glasses or cups, not clean enough. The building need a lot of maintenance. The breakfast is poor, except the coffee!

I like the shower I like the availability of Parking I liked the location, I liked the staff, they were helpfull when they were there and sort of apologetic but.........................

The fact the place erupted at 4 am every morning of our stay with residents shouting running around, slamming doors etc etc etc, it was chaos for about 45 minutes every morning. They appear to have long term stayers at the hotel. Cats being fed by people that were obviously living there right outside our room and the minute the door was open, in the came, (nice cat though). The small waste bins were full to the brim of dinner bags every morning, again, right outside the room! The place just felt very unsafe...the first time i think i have ever said that about a hotel on here!

For a 2 star rated hotel it was OK and to be fair the staff were friendly and helpful and the secure parking was a welcome bonus bearing in mind of the surrounding area and the lack of parking.

The breakfast was a little limited in choice and quantity of what was on offer but maybe there had been a rush before we arrived ?

I definitely do NOT recommend anybody to stay in that hotel

I travelled with my girlfriend, her mother and 4 more people. We told the hotel that we arrive late (at 12:30-1 during the night) and they said that it is okay and there will be somebody to welcome us. On arrival the reception was closed and every number that we were given or was listed at the property did not respond so we spend one night on the street. In the morning the receptionist said that they close the reception at 22:00 because there were many robberies, and did not give us refund for the night that we had to spend on the street. However we were given free breakfast for the rest of the days that we stay in the hotel (3 days). The rooms look NOTHING like what they show on the pictures. The whole hotel was really dirty (including the rooms). The heating in our room did not work and when we ask at the reception we were told that they will look into it (that did not happen). The breakfast was very limited and in really small quantities. If you go there after 5-6 people have already been there wouldn't be almost any food. On one of the pictures below you can see how the cereal dispensers looked the day before we leave and the day we left. On the other picture you can see human hairs hanging out of the staircase (which on the 2nd day were not removed by the staff but by a person from our group). On the last picture you can see how dirty was the window of our room.
