Amazing stay in Rethytmno

We stayed in the Angel Suite and had the best bed ever—so comfortable that we slept incredibly well. Ekaterine was an outstanding host and prepared an amazing breakfast that seemed to go on forever. This has been our best experience in Greece so far, and we truly loved our stay. Forget to mention that location was top. On the edge of the old town and not in one of those touristy and noisy streets.

We did not have big of the issue with parking end of the October. We always managed to find the place near the bus station. For us it was not a big deal.

The best closing to our vacation in Creta we could hope for.

All good we can say would be too short of the reality. The room is super modern and very tastefully decorated. The bathroom is spacious and luxurious. It was just a room, but felt like we rented a luxury villa. But what really blew our minds was how much attention to detail Katerina had. She made us felt right at home, was super helpful with indications, and even offered us some pastries in the morning even if we didn't book any breakfast. The only thing we can say is thank you, and if we ever come back to Rethymno, we will definitely stay again here.

After travelling for 6 weeks in Europe, staying here was the highlight of accommodations.

Loved absolutely everything staying here. Location, room was top notch. Having a washing machine and sunny balcony with two lines was so appreciated. Katerina’s home cooked breakfasts on the roof top were so good that you didn’t need to eat for the rest of the day. I highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed with anything. We will definitely be back.

Katerina is possibly the best host you could ask for! She will make you fresh food from her family’s garden, she will give you amazing recommendations, she will make you laugh and feel very well looked after and comfortable. The room and facilities are beautifully decorated and immaculately kept. This was our favourite accommodation from our 10 week trip! We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Katerina!

A beautiful apartment and charming host

This property was perfect. The apartment was a good size with a lovely terrace and rooftop area to relax. Great design. Comfortable. Great location. Amenities were great to include: washing machine, drying racks, sitting area, kitchen, and comfortable bed. Tons of storage for clothing and suitcase. Katerina was excellent and such a kind person. She stayed late when I got delayed and had over an hour to drive to get to rethymno. She had plenty of recommendations and was just lovely to spend time with in the morning over coffee and homemade snacks. She made the experience even better.

This was a gem of a find, perfectly located to explore the old town. The photos on booking.com actually didn’t do this place justice, it was even better than it looked in my opinion. The nicest mattress I slept on in Greece I think.

Lovely central place

The property is very well positioned, right in the old city centre, close to many shops and restaurants. The room is beautifully renovated and decorated, very well kept and clean. A lot of thought seems to have been put into designing the space. We found free parking spots very close to the property and were greeted with some delicious homemade cookies by the host. We would certainly love to be back.

The Perfect Stay

Perfect Stay! The location is perfect, very close to the old town. The host was so welcoming and nice, she greeted us with a pastry and gave us all the information and restaurant suggestions needed. The place is beuatifully converted, has old charm but all the modern amenities you could think of. Parking is super close with easy in and out of Rethymno as well. Highly recommend to everyone.

Excellent accommodation with a full breakfast which was really value added.

The breakfast provided by Caterina was amazing. So much food. Come hungry!!!! The two rooms we had were very modern with all the amenities we would need. They do have cooking facilities in the family suite which which allowed for self prepared meals if we had stayed more than a few nights.

We stayed in the two room two floor ‘mezzanine’ apartment. It has no windows. Just two skylights in the top room and a tiny light shaft in the bottom room. Now…usually…this would be enough to reduce my rating quite significantly. But this property is so good..it probably should be an eleven anyway!

Lovely, small, beautiful building and an incredible host.

The rooms are in a beautiful old house in a very convenient location. The breakfast was amazing and we loved the roof terrace. The Jacuzzi was wonderful but sadly I didn't have time for a dip. The rooms have charging sockets and lots of lights and the aircon and internet work really well. It's a great place to stay and the personal service we received couldn't be faulted. Amazing!

If I could have had anything different it would have been traditional light switches as the electronic lit up panels are difficult for someone who has sight problems like me and they also glow in the dark. A small problem but I think a step too far in modernisation.

We loves the property and location

We could see some Changes since we had visited last year comparing to this year. The bathroom needs a lot of cleaning around the shower as it very moulded around the ceiling etc. the bedsheets in one of the bye beds and pillow cases looks tired and not super white . The pillows in the top bed were a bit hard. There is not a lot of kitchen supplements for a long stay if you want to cook. Apart from all the above we still love this property. There is a jacuzzi now in the terrace that it wasn’t last year whip was quite enjoyable 😊👍

The one that didn't work out great

Pleasant host who did what she could, but as we had problems with the first room. On a 3 week journey through Crete this was the only time we had ANY complaints about a property, and everywhere else we stayed was GREAT, big love for Crete! (no windows at all, smelled of some cleaning fluid/paint, then the 2nd room had no WIFI, No working TV channels for kids, and then electricity completely went out just as we were getting ready - by the oven)

I hope others experience is better, but based on our short experience hard to recommend this to anyone. First room had no windows at all (only important if AIR is a critical ingredient of your vacation;-) with the bed room door bordering on reception (you can practically answer the phones;-) TVs didn't work for kids (evening time) then we moved to another room (exchanging the boys beds to a foldout sofa) where the WIFI didn't work at all so no internet, and the electricity went out as we were getting ready in the morning.. even the toilet seat was broken.. so all in all can not recommended

Really recommend going there, great place and great management.

I really liked that the room was clean and the design of it was beautiful. The owner was very helpful and helped us with everything we needed. The location is great near the old city and it’s easy to get from place to place. We really enjoyed our 2 days .

If you’re working remotely during your vacation keep in mind the Wi-Fi is not strong both in the room and the street near by.

Short stay

This a beautiful hotel in the centre of Rethymnon in a quiet location. The rooms are spacious, very comfortable, and well equipped. Katerina was an amazing host, even helping us to find a parking space. Breakfast was excellent even though we couldn't eat on the roof terrace because it rained. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Our host Katerina was most helpful - great communication prior to arrival and she also helped us with our luggage when we checked out in the middle of heavy rain. Room had lovely decor and was very comfortable for our short stay. Great in-room facilities and top toiletries provided for guests (Korres).

No fault of the establishment - but finding a park close by was very tricky!! (note: establishment is in a pedestrianised area of Rethymnno)

Back for another super stay

No breakfast but kitchen had free coffee and tea for our use which was great. Stayed in the king suite with balcony again which is our favourite. Bed and sofa bed were very comfortable, nice windows with lots of natural light, love the modern design. Katerina welcoming and helpful as ever. Convenient location as it is walking distance to boutiques, restaurants and bars in Old Town. Will definitely come back.
