Hidden Gem Langebaan

Very private Estate, house big and spacious and very clean.

Cupboard space in main bedroom not enough, can not hang shirts/dresses. King-size bed with two mattresses but one higher than the other, not very comfortable and in winter need a extra blanket.

the property is very isolated and quiet perfect for time away from the hustle and bustle

the owner accused my child of breaking a blind that was broken when we got to the property and we lost our security deposit of R2500 because of this please make sure you take images of each and every item before you even lay your head down as you will not be able to proof otherwise when you check out. lesson learned i guess

The location was nice and the place itself looked amazing.

the advert indicates that there is a private pool - THERE IS NOT! It is a pool for the entire golf estate. THE OWNER ALSO SENDS YOU A 13 PAGE "LEASE" AFTER YOU PAY THE NON REFUNDABLE BOOKING IN FULL...WITH A LONG LISTS OF DON'TS and a substantial amount for a breakage fee. The "lease" agreement includes everything from how and when to open the blinds in the place.. to the fact that for every 2nd day you stay at the property, you must pay for their cleaning lady to come in at R250-00 per day.. The lease agreement took away the beauty of the place and the serene atmosphere it was suppose to create because we felt so agitated to use anything or to actually feel like a "home away from home get away. Took our own glasses and plates to use but we did use their wine glasses once.. the cleaning lady came in with the owner and after check out and my enquiry about my deposit, i was informed that they are missing some glasses. I told the owner that we brought our own and only used their wine glasses but that they were still in tact when he brought the cleaning lady.. and i was informed that they found one broken and that i must replace it as i "moved" the glasses!!! (why rent out your place if this is your mentality ...really now) He also indicated that i must replace them and compensate them for travel expense to go and buy a glass in Vredenburg (20-25km away) or Century City (IN CAPE TOWN)...I INFORMED him to take it up with the cleaning lady because he brought her there and we paid her but IT WAS NOT OUR FAULT A GLASS BROKE... He later indicated she confessed she broke the R60 glass and that she is under disciplinary now.... ALL IN ALL.. I would really not recommend this place as picturesque as it is... this was my first HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE through booking.com.
