Pictures on booking are very misleading. Cottage is just a basic room next to a relatively busy street. Safety and noise

Clean and close to beach.

On the internet is presented more like an apartment but in reality it is just a room next to a relatively busy road. Safety is a concern, one of door locks broken and signs burglary. At night random people knocking at the door. Definitely did not feel safe as a family. The room interior is very basic, fridge is very noisy, and it is very dark and air is sticky, no aircon. Overall very overpriced for what you get.

It is a stunning unit with everything that one could need for a home away from home! Loved the fans that were already turned on upon arrival.

The location sent was a bit confusing as we were looking for 38 Main Road and didn't see a sign that says it is the Kite Cottages.

Great place to spend some ca days by the lagoon

Very spacious & modern appartement providing all you need. The hot tub at night after kiting all day in the cold water feels extra night. Highly recommend this place in the heart of Langebaan.

Beautiful weekend at Kite Cottages

We just loved the openness of the cottage, and we loved the hot tub .We missed a couple of braai utensils, and we messaged Leo, who's in charge of the cottages and minutes later, we were brought brand new utensils, and this was amazing. We have to score them 10/10 for efficiency. It's been our 4th time there and it just gets better. Thank you Kite Cottages we really enjoyed our stay .

I think the bathroom could have been cleaned better especially the tiles in the shower.

If you just want a bed for the night and are out and about, this is ideal

Beautifully comfortable bed, and really well located both for the park entrance and the downtown facilities. Basics were provided and it was great to be able to eat at La Petite Maison - highly recommended (do book ahead).

I was expecting some outside space based on the pictures in the description, and I think the other rooms do have this, but this one was small and dark and facing the road.

Weekend get away

The property is conveniently located in a central area, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We also appreciated the complimentary coffee and tea, as well as the provided shampoo, body wash, and lotion.

The bedding had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The dustbin had not been emptied prior to our arrival, and the container of Sunlight liquid was completely empty. The neighbours' children were very noisy, and smoke from their braai drifted into our bathroom.

Enjoybale 1 night stay that exceeded expectation and is very fairly priced

Exceptional standard of hygiene and cleanliness - Perfect for up to 4 persons. Very well presented - Will definitely be returning to this venue and will recommend to all friends and family travelling through that area.

Easy overnight stay well located for central Langebaan

We stayed in Mint Cottage which is perfect for an overnight. Table and braai outside which is best suited to better weather. But the bed was super warm and comfortable even in rainy weather.

Parking for this cottage could be more clearly marked. There’s no place to eat meals indoors but there are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The neighbours were quite noisy after 22:30, which is audible.

The location

I contacted the staff on the watsapp group, and there was no response seeing that I received the wrong wifi password. The kettle did not work. The fridge did not work and it smelled of fish

Family vacation

Excellent location and wonderful communication. The accommodation is fully furnished. The hotel tubs were absolutely worth it and the stay was value for money. Ideally located a short walk from the beach, with nearby restaurants and spar around the corner. The house was clean and neat. Comfortable big bed and well spaced. We had enough privacy which was appreciated.

Upon our arrival, the house was stained with the smell of smoke.This is due to there being no door or divider from the braai/fireplace which cause a lot of smoke to enter the living spaces.

The bed was really comfortable and the room was really warm even in the cold nights.

The fridge was small, but also did not stay cold. The curtains were too small for the doors.

This was my fourth visit to Kite Cottages. Always my go to in Langebaan. Very comfortable, best location and great value. Will be back again!

We so enjoyed our stay. The keys from the lock box worked well. The room was immaculate and was everything we needed. The bed was fabulous:) The room is a good distance from the restaurants/ bars and the walking distance is enjoyable.

A home away from home without the hustle and bustle.

Everything was more than we expected. Clean, well equipped and nearby everything. Beds were very comfortable, linen crisp. Lovely neighborhood, yet private. Unfortunately our stay was short, we had to check out sooner because of emergency at home. Will definitely come again.

Lovely stay, quiet and peaceful exactly what we wanted.

We loved the location of the property and the amenities provided. Close to all the shops, restaurants and most importantly the beach. The only thing we disliked was that the room didn’t have a stove, only a microwave and toaster.

Thyme cottage

Building wasn't clean and neat on the outside. Noisy, as we could here guests laughing and talking in next door cottage even whilst we had the tv on. No security gate on door.

There where thrash left in bin and stuff in fridge from previous visitor. Cockroaches coming out from under the bathroom cabinet, we had to cover the bottom with a towel.

Amazing place, close to everything and amazing hot tub.

Loved the Jacuzzi/Hot tub, it was really a refreshing experience. Loved the parking space which was right outside the bedroom window.

It took a while to get the hot tub going, so I had to buy 3 packets of firewood. Could be my fire starting skills are bad but it was totally worth it.

We have been to the Kite Cottages a few times before. And everytime we just love it more and more!!! Our favourite place to stay in our favourite town!! Location is perfect. So close to beach, restaurants and shops. Super comfy beds and linen. Would recommend this property 150%.

It was self catering, so nothing to rate there, but the space was good enough for all 10 of us to share breakfast.

The furniture and bathrooms need to be revamped to meet tourist standards. Bathrooms didn't have enough detergents.

Will definitely not recommend to any future travelers

We had not TV for a whole day in both our cottages. Tried calling a Emily from the group. No response. Eventually got hold off a Mr Spencer and he was also of no help. I am rather disappointed with the service. Further the cottage Thyme had no or very little hot water.
