A wonderful little house

A wonderful little cottage! This was my second stay here. Clean, comfortable (with a comfortable bed), lovely decor and nice decorative touches - including fresh flowers on the dining table. We were provided with a complimentary bottle of drink. There was everything we could possibly need (including DVDs, books, binoculars). Set in quiet surroundings and with a beautiful view over a field where we saw a barn owl.on our first visit and a deer on our second. in the garden there were seats positioned for enjoying the view of the field and a swing seat, perfect for relaxing. A great location for exploring the surrounding area, including Aldeburgh.

In the bathroom it's a tight squeeze in between the sink and heated towel rail to get to the toilet (the towel rail has foam over it so no chance of being burnt). There were no chairs with the table in the garden on our second visit so we couldn't use it for dining like we had on our first visit. But we enjoyed our stay so much that these were just minor issues, and we'd stay here again.

A private and well presented bolt hole for a weekend in a quiet setting not far from the coast

I liked the peace & tranquility afforded by this property’s location, and its privacy, despite being located in the host’s garden. A choice of outdoor seating for al fresco eating enhanced my experience. I received a warm welcome from my hosts along with a welcome card, posy of garden flowers and bottle of drink in the property which was a lovely gesture. A microwave has been added.

The only downside, in my opinion, was the trek from the roadside parking spot to the accommodation at the bottom of the garden, via a shingle path & two gates. The space in the en-suite shower room was extremely limited, which wasn’t too much of an issue for me but could well be for sizeable persons. I didn’t find the dining chairs particularly comfortable.

Pretty little cottage with small bedroom and minuscule bathroom.

Pretty little cottage, attractively furnished and decorated.

The bathroom (shower and loo) was tiny. Squeezing sideways past the washbasin to the loo was uncomfortable and claustrophobic. We had hoped for some milk to be available but no.

Lovely location, pretty garden, considerate touches that made the stay comfortable like path lighting, local apple juice in the fridge, plenty of information available.

A perfect winter weekend getaway

A cute little outbuilding with everything we needed for a winter weekend break. the host had catered for everything and the house and key were easy to find. We had the perfect amount of privacy away from the main house but from the lovely comments from previous guests, the host are more then welcoming should you need to ask them anything

If I really had to choose something, and really nitpicking, the view of a ploughed field isn't exactly idyllic but absolutely not the fault of the host or the building. I would expect the field to be amazing when full of crops and in any case, the sunrise from the gable window was still a perfect way to wake up before breakfast

Great facilities, fully fitted kitchen with oven, hob, microwave, toaster, kettle & fridge/freezer. The owners have also provided clear instructions for the wifi & Amazon fire stick & the gardens/views are lovely!

The heating took a long time to warm up as the heaters are on a timer which can be over-ridden. There were a few creepy crawlies in the bathroom & cupboard but it’s a rural location though!

Lovely little house, hope to come again

Lovely little cottage in peaceful setting overlooking fields. Nicely decorated with a seaside theme. Good off road parking. Heating is on timers and it was plenty warm enough (April stay). Well equipped kitchen.

Nothing, we could easily have stayed longer! Just a note for stays of a week or longer...bring a few coathangers. There is plenty of storage in drawers under the bed but not so much hanging. Also for longer stays, no washing machine.
