Little House, Aldringham

This is an absolutely delightful place to stay and I had a very comfortable 2 nights here. To be woken up by a dawn chorus of birdsong was lovely. I met both of the owners and their friendly brown Labrador Daisy during my stay and they were v helpful and kind. The local pub, The Parrot and Punchbowl is a short walk away and the food/service were great. The kitchen is set up for cooking if you want to. The bifold doors were great to open to the pretty view and quickly cooled down Little House in this heatwave.

My only minor niggle would be the size of the compact ensuite shower room, it is a bit of a squeeze to get past the heated towel rail to/from the toilet but is manageable.

Very private. Garden over looks a field, tucked round the back. Has everything needed, separate bedroom from main room. Tv has Netflix etc. Games, books and maps available. Proper oven and hob. Owners never disturbed, unless you needed them. If you like walking footpath to thorpness or alderburgh. Nice pub walking distance. Shops close.

As mentioned in other reviews. Bathroom small, but it really didn't bother us.

Very pretty little cottage

Accommodation was a small separate house at the end of a pretty garden overlooking a field, very peaceful. Clean, beach and bird theme decor, comfortable. Good base for exploring Suffolk. Flowers on table, and apple juice in fridge. BTW there is a microwave as well as an oven (microwave was not listed in booking.com, so was welcome surprise).

Was all good. There is a walk from your car down past the house and along field edge which would not be easy if you had big suitcase. But it means it's nice and peaceful.
