Wonderful location. Perfect for us with our dog - enclosed garden where we had a take away evening meal. Very pleasant welcome from Graeme.

The bathroom was very small but good news as it’s going to be made into a larger ensuite very soon.

Stunning views from our window, the host Graeme was very friendly and accommodating. Absolute gem of a place, we will certainly be back

The View has a certain something in the title and from the outside the view of Tynemouth was amazing.

We were met by the owner who thought we were another couple. Then he took us to the top of the stairs and we glimpsed the room we had booked - the only one available. But then he ushered us into what he called the Honeymoon suite of something like that and said we could have this room for an extra £20. It just felt manipulative and my husband did pay extra - but I just felt it was such a grubby sort of move. View WAS lovely but the way he had the card reader whipped out double quick just felt tacky and money grabbing. Interesting - we stayed at another hotel near Newcastle and the landlady upgraded our room for free without us asking. One other thing that concerned me was when I pulled the sheet back, the sheet had dozens of small hairs all over. Thinking about it, there was a doggy smell in the house so giving them the benefit of the doubt, I think they must wash the sheets in the same washing machine. But....
