Apartment was spacious, clean and well presented. Had lots of good features and was well placed in South Shields. We were on a family break tracing old ancestors who had lived in South Shields and it was great for this purpose. Didn't try the breakfast but had great dining options very nearby.
Gaining entry was a faff - there were no staff available at check in as it operates using a key box system and the code to retrieve the key was not provided and then was wrong. Face-to-face customer service is invaluable in these moments and was missed in this instance.
The air fresheners were excessive.
The bathroom was too small for the size of the house.

From the moment we arrived at the clifton hotel we were made welcome. Lovely comfortable bed, in a spotless room. Lovely bedding and towels. Hot shower. The whole hotel was clean and lovely decor. Great breakfast, which was well presented. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Highly recommend, great location.
