Great and a very private place to stay in the South Shields

I had a wonderful stay at 109 Ocean Road in South Shields! The room was clean, comfortable, and well-furnished, with an attached full bathroom that added a lot of convenience. The memory foam mattress was quite comfortable, though I personally prefer a firmer, spring mattress—just a personal preference that doesn’t detract from the room's overall comfort. The kitchen was also a great feature—clean, well-maintained, and stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, and appliances, making it easy to cook or prepare meals. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from the beach and surrounded by great restaurants and cafes. The host was welcoming and attentive, managing the property remotely, which I saw as a big plus for privacy. He checked in several times during the week to make sure everything was going well, which I appreciated. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking to stay in South Shields!

I stayed for a week and had nobody show up to clean the room. I can understand a night or two stay without towel refresh etc but week seemed too long. Perhaps that's how it is supposed to be there but for a single professional guy staying in a guesthouse for a week, it was a real tester to have to do the laundry, etc. and I won't forget Colin making me earn this badge according to my significant other. The only part where it didn't feel like home! 😀

Best place to stay when visiting the North East.

Breakfast was amazing! Great portions too. Location was amazing. 2 mins from the beach, next to some great pubs and restaurants. Thank you to Beth and her husband for making us feel so welcome.

We stayed here for 3 nights for the great north run and must say was the best guest house we have ever stayed at the customer service from Beth and Tommy was exceptional they really made us feel at home the room was clean and comfortable great nights sleep beths food was amazing perfect breakfast couldn't of asked for anything more Beth even packed me up with food pack for post run and laid on chocolate strawberries and processo for us after the run location was perfect too we would highly recommend this guest house great hosts exceeded all expectations

Comfort House is located close to the town centre, parks and the sea front, with free parking outside the accommodation. The hostess serves a delicious breakfast. The bedroom was comfortable and spotlessly clean (as was the en suite bathroom). The bedroom and bathroom are serviced daily and unobtrusively.

Perfect place to stay in this family run bed and breakfast

Fantastic room. Bed was very comfortable. Spotlessly clean and tidy. Great extras such as hot chocolate and bottled water in room. Breakfast was amazing and home cooked. Owners were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Opposite restaurants and close to the beach, swim centre and fair. Absolutely faultless and will happily return. Best place/friendliest place I have ever stayed in
