The property is large, with new amenities mixed with old school Japanese architecture. The vines were great.
It has absolutely no insulation and we were there in the Winter — it was frigid. The heaters help but you can’t keep them on overnight, aka the coldest time. The bed mats are heated but the air around feels like you are outside.

Een prachtig Japans huis in een rustige buurt op loopafstand van de bezienswaardigheden van Takayama. The place to be in deze leuke stad!
Badkamer, keuken, aparte woonkamer: alles is pefect en met veel zorg ingericht. Het huis was steenkoud toen we arriveerden, maar met straalkachels en airco’s kregen we het snel aangenaam warm. Wat erg hielp was de zeer duidelijke instructiemap voor de bediening van de apparaten. Daarin staan ook zeer goede tips van de host voor goede eetgelegenheden: we hebben er dankbaar gebruik van gemaakt.
Toppunt van service; wij bleven 4 dagen en na 2 dagen werd het hele appartement schoongemaakt!
