Staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was clean.
The location was a bit far outside of the main area of town (about a 20-25min walk) which was ok but not the most convenient. The futon beds were not as comfortable as at other ryokans we’ve stayed at - the mattress was very thin.

This Ryokan really is wonderful, it's very retro but has been maintained immaculately so it's really quite beautiful, the staff are so helpful and generous. The meals are the star of the show here, just wow! We felt like royalty. The onsen facilities are great, a lovely indoor bath and outdoor bath, plus a sauna and cold plunge. Little touches in the room like sweets and incense to burn were so lovely too
My only negative and this is just my personal preference is that the futons were very thin however because our room was for up to 4 people I took another put the cupboard and stacked them which helped.

Hotel senzill, tradicional i tranquil.
