It was a fantastic experience from start to finish and exactly what we hoped for when we booked it. We had the meal experience and the Japanese breakfast - both were delicious. We also used the onsen which was a great experience. All the staff were so attentive and friendly. I contacted the hotel in advance with a query and they were very responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here

It was a lovely stay in general. Very unique room and more spacious then we expected.

The futon beds were comfy and we slept well. Room amenities was also ample . Staff were helpful and kind
We had to wear their house slippers throughout ryokan and they were not comfortable for our feet as we need support to our soles. The onsen water was noT hot enough and I wasn’t sure if the water had any therapeutic benefits. The Kaiseki was not impressive and the Hida beef offerings were very skimpy
