Excellent location tucked a bit away from the Main Street but an easy 10 minute walk. Loved the outdoor bath, and the interior was exactly what you want, historic but comfortable. The staff were great and went out of their way to help whenever we needed it.
The breakfast wasn’t very good in our opinion, we just nibbled on it both mornings. Hard, cold bread, boiled egg and i think maybe like a cold tempura shrimp. We chose the western breakfast which may have been the issue, but we didn’t want Japanese food in the morning because that is all we had been eating, and we’re after a little bit of a break from washoku.

The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, the location was great - close to train station, restaurants, the market. It was peaceful and quiet at night. The beds were incredibly comfortable and we loved the bathroom and outdoor tub!

The facilities at the reception lounge were really nice and the house had a very local vibe (wooden house). The mochi at the reception lounge was amazing and my mom loved the massage she booked at the spa.
The 2 futon style beds on the first floor were uncomfortable. Too thin and hard. The breakfast was not good at all. We asked for a western style breakfast and it was nothing special and had shrimp. The eggs were boiled eggs and everything was in the same box delivered to our house so it was cold and the fruit tasted like fish.
