Room walls are thin so could hear neighbouring guests

The staff, the room, the location.
The constantly screaming kid was not great, but it was not the hotel's fault.

True family Ryokan experience: Sleeping in tatami, local breakfasts, bathing in the onsen. The stuff were super kind and they made you feel like guests from a different century
Unless you book the dinner via the Booking.com dinner-included fare you won’t be able to dine in the Ryokan, and considering the great level of the breakfast it was a pity.
