Room was spacious and host was friendly.
This accomidation was more like a home stay than a hotel. Bathroom was private but was not ensuite.
Few challenges with locks and door handles for the room.

Le Jardin des Merveilles was a very interesting place to spend a night near Giverny in France. We had a room with ensuite bath on the first floor of the house. The entire hotel is filled with interesting bric-a-brac decoration. There is also a friendly resident dog. An adequate breakfast is optional for an additional payment, with a fresh egg from the house’s chickens. Restaurants can be found a short drive away. Free on-street parking across from the house.
Host's English skills were not great, but much better than my French. We got along just fine.

It was close to Giverny.
Actually very "junky." We were greeted and taken upstairs to our room. No key to the room or anything. My husband was shocked it was a hotel. From what we could tell we were the only people staying there at all. Kind of weird. Luckily we had just arrived in France, we're jet lagged, picked up the rental car in Paris, and drove directly there so we just really need a place to lie our head. This place is 1 star at best.

So beautiful and peaceful. I wish we could have stayed there longer and relaxed more. Guy was a magnificent, kind host and we enjoyed our conversation with him.
Honestly, the only issue was parking, as St Pierre D’Autils is a tiny, thin town with little parking. Zero issues with the property itself. It’s a gorgeous little oasis.

Guy was so welcoming and when we had a little accident with our toddler he was really kind, understanding and helpful. The gardens are a beautiful place to explore, it felt like we’d stepped into a hidden world. A bonus to find the goats and geese at the back! Guy took great care in giving us breakfast too. Thank you for a wonderful but too short a visit, we felt very well looked after.

The accommodation is set in a beautiful little village. Once you step behind the main gate the accommodation and beautiful grounds reminded us of Monet's Garden which we had just visited!! it was very tranquil and so relaxing

Beautiful garden with a wonderfully friendly host. A nice simple breakfast was on offer and we had a lovely stay! The host even kindly offered to drive us to town and then picked up when we couldn't find a taxi to come back!
Nothing, everything was as expected.

The gardens were so beautiful and well kept, and the inside felt so quaint and curated for the perfect French countryside stay. Our room was absolutely perfect, with a big wardrobe to keep our clothes, a table with chairs to sit and relax, and the most perfect little balcony overlooking the garden and was always the best seat for the sunset. With optional breakfasts and bike rentals, it’s the perfect little getaway.
It’s a little set away from the train station and shops/restaurants, which is good for the authentic French feel, but you will need to book transportation to and from town. We used uber, it worked great for us, just make sure you have a little extra set aside for that.

Very good value for money. If you like a homely atmosphere, this is perfect. Very nice and helpful host and a beautiful garden included, with flowers, vegetables, geese, hens and goats! Lovely for children.
Everything fine

A very beautiful place well preserved building.
Guy and Adrian we're amazing hosts, and made us feel so comfortable. Breakfast was really good. The gardens are competing with Monet gardens.
Overall 10 out of 10.
Thank you so much.

It was totally unique, very relaxing experience in a beautiful garden. A very French feel to everything and a delightful breakfast served in the garden. We were given the whole little garden cottage as an upgrade which we loved. Everything was old in a very charming way which made us feel very at home.
I would’ve loved some air conditioning to cool down after a very long hot driving day but you can’t have everything and again it made it a very authentic experience.

Charming B&B with gradens and goats. Loved the host who was friendly, accommodating & enjoyable to visit with and gave a wonderful breakfast before we headed out to Giverny to tour Monets house & gardens.
I liked it all but if you are looking for fancy & polished, then its not for you.... if looking for charming, friendly & peaceful, then its perfect

This is a quirky farm-like home. What I love were the antiques and paintings everywhere. This is not a place for those who like slick and modern.
Guy, our host, is a dear.

Location. Fun but very odd
It is very quirky. A veritable antiques/junk shop. Very steep stairs to our room - this is not mentioned anywhere .

Quiet location. A 'real' character building! Breakfast ok.
Hard to think of anything...

Our host, Guy, was lovely. The breakfast was delicious! The room was quaint, but roomy enough to spread out. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our first night due to a missed ferry connection and were not able to get a refund. Then on our last night we had a car accident and did not get back until 2:30am! Guy was very understanding.

Very much enjoyed the village.
It is well worthwhile having a drive around.
The house and bedrooms are a real delight.
A few more choices for breakfast would have been nice.

super friendly and relaxed funky little old place.
shared toilet and bath, which was no problem for us.

The garden, statues and animals are lovely and Guy is the sweetest! He bought vegan milk for me on purpose! It almost broke my heart to have to tell him that we would not be sleeping there because it was too dirty.
There were cobwebs, dust and weird haunted dolls. The house wasn’t the cleanest. The space for the toilet was incredibly small, located underneath the staircase. As soon as you opened the door of your room, there was someone else sleeping in that room. It just doesn’t do it for me but maybe for someone else it will do perfectly fine!

The gardens are a joy. Barely tamed they boast variety of trees and shrubs
Guy made breakfast using eggs from his hens that roam freely under the shade of a cob nut tree

Guy the owner made us a wonderful breakfast that he served to us in the garden.
It is also only a 20 minute drive from Giverny to see Monet’s house and garden. The gardens on the property are beautiful and relaxing. There are goats and geese and chickens in the back of the property.

Loved our host. He was very gentle and kind with my children. He was flexible with our check in time. He was helpful. He took my kids out to feed the animals right when we got there.
And even though the garden is a little bit wild and there are some weeds in it, it was a major act of love. It was beautiful, peaceful and a little wild. I loved it. and the little swing was a nice touch.
I booked a lovely family room I saw on this website but what I got instead was a very eclectic/hodge podge family suite. It was not my favorite decoration wise. It almost felt like I was in a second hand store with the mismatching of all the bright colors, styles etc. Magenta, curtains and pea green curtains in the same room, etc. Lots of gawdy/kitchsy decorations. the bathroom had two walls painted mint green and then the section behind the toilet was super saturated true orange and the shade had red snowflakes on it. It hurt my eyes. After seeing the suite, I specifically asked for the family room I booked and showed the host pictures but he was adamant that this ugly family suite was better “for us.” It Could be that he was sincere but I couldnt help feeling like I had been tricked.
I would like to note, in spite of this room change, he gave us a family suite with one less bed and went out of his way to get a bed that would work and be comfortable. And also came and light proofed the room, as there was only a sheer curtain allowing us very little privacy and virtually no darkness on the long light May nights.
All said and done, I probably would have gone somewhere else but the stay was comfortable enough. my only complaint is the decorations were disturbing and I booked something totally beautiful and didnt get it. Glad the garden was peaceful.

I had to use a taxi to get there.

It was almost as beautiful as at Claude Monet’s Giverny house. Thank you very much, Guy and Hadrien, for your hospitality. Wish we could stay longer
