A peaceful and homely getaway

We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place. The peaceful surroundings, stunning views, and warm, attentive staff made it really special. The home-cooked meals were absolutely delicious—and everything just made us feel right at home. We hope to be back soon :)

Very nice place

We really enjoyed everything during our stay, this place is like Heaven on Earth, very quite and relaxing. The owner helped us to find a very nice restaurant with great food, we are going to return to this accomodation.

The house was very clean and authentic. Location is excellent and the hosts were very welcoming and kind. They shared with us the history of the village and the house. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, made by the hosts with love and care. We tried several of their handmade berry’s jams and fruity refreshments along with the traditional yoghurt and cheeses. Overall, we had an amazing experience and time at Kanush Voivoda house, and Kovachevitsa!

Amazing place

The house was beautiful. It was a museum filled with revolvers, rifles and images of voevoda from days gone by, built using traditional materials and techniques. The hosts, Yurdana and her husband were amazing.

The host was great. We loved the feeling of staying in a traditional Bulgarian House and the room was very clean and warm. Good value for money and a true experience.

Best hostess in Bulgaria 😊 Yurdana was so kind and welcoming. Communication was always fluid even before our arrival. Her place is an authentic experience in a lovely quiet village. We decided to have breakfast at her place and it was the best breakfast during all our trip in Bulgaria. Homemade yummy products. If you want to stay in the Kovachevitsa area Yurdana's a great place

It's a traditional house with 2 guest rooms, if we wish we can share the same table for the morning and evening meals with this nice family and their 2 young sons. Food is delicious, both wife and husband cook very well. They are imaginative : each morning during my 6-days stay I had a different vegetarian breakfast. Rooms are beautiful in their simplicity and they are comfortable. The hosts are eager to help you with any desire you might have. It's very easy to communicate with them in English, unlike some other places in the village.

Everything was perfect, I hope to be able to return one day.

The house was extermely authentic yet functional with all necessary ammenities! The host was amazing and super personable - you felt like you were part of their family at breakfast for example!

A must stay in Bulgarian wine country!

Absolutely loved the location and the host family. The village is beautiful, and the family was very kind and welcoming. We had a great time exploring the village and getting to know the host and her family. She was very knowledgable about the area and gave great recommendations and some local history. Her english is perfect, and she was very communicative beforehand with instructions on where to park, and how to find the property.

The only issue I had was that the bed was a bit hard for me. But everyone has their preferences, so not a real issue. Just a personal preference.

The location and the house are exceptional and the views you get from the wonderful terrace are spectacular. Our hosts were super friendly and looked after us very well. The food was home made and very delicious with all vegetables coming directly from the garden. We had a wonderful time and will definitely visit again in the future. We rate our stay 10 out of 10!

Location is great with a nice veranda. The host is a cool guy. Communication forhand was perfect.

Very Spartan room with no view for me. The bed is hard and the bathroom is the shower. Did not dare to go with my car the tiny alley down to the guesthouse so I parked far away. Breakfast was fine but no eggs or tomatos.

Highly recommended

Owners are super nice people. The girl is a tour guide in the past, so she has loads of information about Bulgaria. The house is at excellent place, close to the intrance to the village. There is 2 sweet dogs at the property. They are really friendly. Rooms are cozy with good vibes. Very recommended.

Nice, authentic house with excellent location. It was very pleasant playing with our kids and looking at these marvelous old houses that surrounded the yard. Very hospitable and friendly owners that make you feel at home.
