Great location, responsive staff, but lack of AC in summer made our stay uncomfortable

The location is fantastic, with plenty of great restaurants within walking distance and Southampton's historic city walls just nearby. The apartment was well-equipped with a fridge, microwave, and washer (though no dryer), which added convenience. With two bedrooms and two bathrooms, the space felt spacious and comfortable for our group of four. Communication through the booking app was excellent—staff were responsive and addressed our inquiries promptly.

The lack of air conditioning was a significant drawback, especially during a summer heatwave. The provided fans were insufficient, and the heat made it hard to sleep. Opening the windows didn’t help much, as the second-floor apartment was noisy at night from street cars and pedestrians, and the outside air didn’t cool the space effectively. Additionally, the en-suite bathroom shower tended to flood, requiring us to pause mid-shower to let the water drain. Additionally, wi-fi is slow.

Beautiful apartment at location with a big BUT ...

The location was good and the apartment was beautiful.

There was construction going on next to where the apartment was located and we were awakened up early every morning but by the sound of very loud and noisy jackhammers.

Ok in a pinch for a very short stay, but we would never return.

It was convenient to the Ocean Terminal

Seating was not comfortable in the living area (couch springs seemed to be broken). Floor and dining chairs in the kitchen and surrounding area were not clean and we had to vacuum up the crumbs and debris. The king size bed is in the smaller of the two bedrooms and was extremely uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. There is no air conditioning but fans are provided, however you have to leave the windows open and the street noise is unbearable with vehicles and people on the road/sidewalk well into the wee hours of the morning. The apartment is not in a very desirable area with many unhomed.

Well presented and good location

As it was quite hot whilst we were there ventilation was a problem even with all the windows open . Probably just one other thing was the shower in the bath. It was very slippery and nothing to hang on to.

Property is run down, tired furniture and many items in need of repair, such as dishwasher, bath plug, WiFi was poor. Plus you have to fight to get back the security deposit. They seemingly forget to do it, 3 week sand no refund??

Review of 2 bdrm flat in Southampton.

The location was good and just a short walk to stores and restaurants. The apartment was spacious and comfortable for 2 couples. The kitchen was stocked with enough dishes for 4 people.

We had the windows open most of the time to cool the unit and used the fans that we provided. There was quite a bit of road noise throughout the evening, making it difficult to sleep with motorcycles going up and down the street. There was also a gathering at 4 am the first night, with several voices being heard before a break-in occurred next to the property.

Great accommodation once we could climb the many walls to get in...

The property was clean and spacious in a convenient location within Southampton. Kitchen items were thoughtfully provided and so were just enough towels, soap, shampoo, and dishwashing liquid. Two televisions were an unexpected bonus.

We thought we would never get into the apartment and were ready to declare a "fraud" on habitability due to the difficulty created by the owners that required two days and over five hours of trying to complete their several internet charges and challenges for identification and security deposits. I had vowed never to rent an apartment again from Booking.com when, at last, a supervisor intervened and was able to communicate (after over an hour) with the management company. If this horrible inconvenience had not happened, we would give the apartment a 10.

We had a lovely stay in Southampton and would love to stay the same accommodation again.

The location and accommodation were excellent. The accommodation was most suitable for our group of 3 adults and a two-year-old child. I would highly recommend the premises to others.

The fans provided were totally inadequate to cope with the sweltering heat we experienced while there. Installation of air conditioning would enhance the premises or the provision of appropriate fans. The toilet in the bathroom didn't flush and the stopper in the bath was faulty. The sink stopper in the en-suite was broken. I pointed these out to the owner

We thought we were getting a king-sized bed, but it was only a queen. Not enough linens, we would like to have had a hair towel and a wash cloth. Shelves or something in the shower for shampoo soap etc. Also, the tub was slippery, maybe something textured to eliminate slips.

It should have had an informational packet about how to hook up WiFi. That was very difficult to find on our own. More information about how to turn on the heat. Finally found heat controls in all the rooms. Also, information about local restaurants or local delivery services. Could also had info on how to work the TV. The TV remote was confusing.

Excellent communication from owners. Access to the property very easy and convenient. Location was very good for accessing the town, the docks and the local park. Walkable to local cafes and bars and shops. The apartment was very clean and well presented with a lot of thought gone into what might be needed during our stay. Lots of on street payable parking

It was very hot inside the apartment and too noisy outside to have windows open although fans were provided. The en-suite bathroom was very small and poorly lit. There was a strong unpleasant smell in the entrance lobby to the building and the corridor outside the flat but thankfully not inside the flat

The apartment is situated on a busy street, makes it very noisy. The bedroom and the hallway are carpet, these are old carpets, not ideal for allergy sufferers.
