Calm place for relax

It was a lovely stay in the rural area surrounded by fields, cows, horses, sheeps and chickens. Completely calm, with friendly and hospital hosts. Exceptionally clean. We enjoyed silence and a wonderful atmospheric morning. My wife was impressed by animals. Our bed was very comfortable, with comfortable pillows. All these things made our sleeping and re-energizing amazing. My strong recommendation.

A lovely bed and breakfast in rural Belgium

The hosts were incredibly hospitable, and it was a pleasure to meet them and to learn about the Flemish culture. The breakfast included some delicious local food, such as tasty cheeses from a local farm and pastries. The accommodation is good value for money. The shower is lovely.

This is not a negative, but it is worth considering that a car or bike are essential to visit this property.

The property was quaint and modern in appearance. The couple that own the B&B ( Hilde and Dirk ) could not do enough to help us, the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was plentiful, with more if you needed. They suggested restaurants for us to go for a meal, and areas of interest. Dirk is passionate about a lot of things, but especially his wonderful sheep.

Exceptional

I wish to give any higher rate if I could. All was exeptional, and more than that - very, VERY nice hosts. Small example. We left at night, 2AM. These peoples are waiked up to say good bye, prepare cup of coffee and to bring hand made sandwiches to our way!!! I wish to visit the place some day once again, so nice it was.

La perfection

Un excellent accueil dans un lieu exceptionnel. Rien n’est laissé au hasard, la décoration des espaces est sublime, très soignée. Nous y avons séjourné à 7 personnes, les chambres et salles de bain sont magnifiques, très propres, décorées avec beaucoup de goût . Les literies très confortables. Et que dire de nos hôtes ?! Ils sont d une gentillesse incroyable, et ont été aux petits soins. Ce fut un excellent moment . Le petit dej avec produits frais et fait maison (yaourt confiture, jus de pommes…) viennoiseries, pain, salade de fruits frais , des œufs à la demande et à notre goût , pâte à tartiner, thé café chocolat chaud…

Bij aankomst werd ik hartelijk ontvangen door de gastvrouw. Ze gaf me een rondleiding en liet je daarna ook je eigen ding doen. De kamer was proper en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het ontbijt stond klaar op het afgesproken uur.

Zeer gastvrije ontvangst. Ruime kamer voorzien van alle benodigdheden. De gemeenschappelijke ruimte met de honestybar, mooie ruime tuin om van te genieten.

Alles is met zorg en liefde in het werk gesteld om het de gasten naar hun zin te maken en thuis te laten voelen.

Het privéterras met heel comfortabele zeteltjes is de max, zeker voor tuinliefhebbers, voor wie het een puur genot is om er de ogen goed de kost te geven. Het motto op een van de bordjes in de ontbijtruimte is 'Welkom en geniet', en dat is honderd procent van toepassing! Ook binnen is het heerlijk vertoeven, met de mooie kunstobjecten en de eigengemaakte mooie beertjes. Proficiat aan de gastheer en de gastvrouw. Wij raden het Meikenshof ook volop aan aan iedereen die houdt van fietsen en wandelen.

Bedankt Hilde & Dirk!

Deze B&B was weer een schot in de roos: Hilde & Dirk doen dit zo goed dat we geen enkel puntje van kritiek kunnen geven. Het ontbijt was ruim voldoende voor ons en het feit dat we de overschot ook nog mochten nemen als "picknick" tijdens onze fietstochten, mochten we nog nergens ervaren. De groene en kunstige omgeving en de rustige ligging van "Het Meikenshof" is een ander positief gegeven. We sluiten dan ook niet uit dat we nog eens terugkeren naar deze B&B!

Het was geweldig bij heel aardige en gezellige B&B eigenaren.

Ons verblijf begon al met een allerhartelijkste ontvangst. We werden zeer welkom geheten en alles omtrent ons verblijf werd uitgebreid aan ons uitgelegd. En al deze uitleg was niet overdreven. Naast uitleg over onze kamer werden we ook geïnformeerd over de aanwezige dieren op de B&B. De kamer is zeer ruim en van alle gemakken voorzien. De bedden zijn ook geschikt voor lange mensen en slapen heerlijk. Het ontbijt was meer dan voldoende en elke dag iets wisselends lekkers erbij. De huis gemaakte jam en appelsap uit eigen tuin hebben ons goed gesmaakt. En om verspilling tegen te gaan was het geen probleem om alles wat we niet op konden mee te nemen om daar later op de dag nog van te genieten. Daarnaast kregen we voldoende tips om een aantal attracties, naast onze eigen plannen, te gaan bezoeken. Al met al was ons verblijf er één om niet te vergeten. Bij een volgende reis in deze omgeving van België zullen we zeker weer trachten bij te kunnen verblijven😊.

Een Prachtige B&B met super vriendelijke eigenaars. We werden hartelijk ontvangen en tijdens het aangeboden aperitiefje kregen we alle nodige info. De kamers zijn mooi ingericht. Heel lekker uitgebreid ontbijt.

De gastheer was echt wel TOP! Hij doet er alles aan om je verblijf perfect te laten verlopen. De echt mooi gerenoveerde gebouwen. De dieren die er zo vredig bijlopen… echt rust.
