Vernazza is full of character and so is this apartment

Beautiful apartment right above the sea - fall asleep to the sound of the waves lapping against the shore. Good kitchen with a washing machine - the latter proved very useful, and clothes dried very quickly on the outside line in the sea breeze. Comfortable couches and bed (probably queen size) - and nice views. Very close to the station and all the shops. Vernazza is a lovely town and you can access walking tracks to Monterosso and Corniglia. The town is busy with tourists during the day but most leave by late afternoon. Lots of good places to eat and you can get a discount off food from restaurants owned by the host.

Vernazza is full of stairs. We counted 50 stairs from the main road to our building entrance, another 10 to our front door, and the apartment is split level so there were more steep stairs within that we had to drag our bags up. It would have been good to have someone meet us to take us from the station to the apartment and help with luggage. Our host was supposed to meet us but was delayed and sent instructions. For a young fit couple, probably not an issue, but older people will need assistance or go for a single floor apartment. The light-switch in the staircase from the apartment to the building entrance wasn’t working so we had to use our phone torch to navigate down the steep stairs. An easy fix and we let our host know about it.

Breathtaking Views and Perfect Comfort

An absolutely amazing nest, with a breathtaking sea view right outside the window. The apartment offered every necessary comfort, with tasteful furnishings and a warm atmosphere. We enjoyed a truly wonderful weekend here — a place we’d love to return to. Simply magical!

Beautiful apartment and view but many noise issues.

We stayed in the gold suite. It was a lovely room, clean and beautiful sea view. We appreciate that hiking sticks were available in the room for us. Bed was comfortable, good storage for suitcase and good water pressure in shower. Perfect location.

The suite is located directly outside a main hiking path/walk way, you can hear every person walking by, talking and yelling. As the apartment is located on a flat area between steps, a lot of people will stop out front of the apartment to take a break. This can create much noise of chatter. A few times people were leaning against the door and therefore making ‘knocking type sounds’ (accidental of course) but it was very annoying. The outdoor noise issue could be fixed if a second doorway was built in between the bedroom and front door. During the night time, we could hear every single noise in the apartment next door and above. For example we could hear guests chatting, walking in the apartment, toilet etc. This was not a party, it was just regular noise that you would not expect to hear. Also wifi is very bad and does not work most times.

Beautiful views

The location is great! The views from the living room is phenomenal. The windows open and you can hear the waves crashing below you. You are steps away from town, the train, and everything you need.

The bathroom is VERY tiny. There was also some visible mold in the shower/on the bathroom ceiling. The host offered to help with bags on arrival and met us at the train station, but then took one bag (a small carryon suitcase) and nothing else. Would rather the offer not be made if there is not intent to help. Other than this, a great stay in a heavenly place.

A fabulous haven of peace and comfort with spectacular sea views

We loved the location, the privacy, the amazing balcony overlooking the sea, the overall decor of the suite, a lovely bathroom with pretty lighting, mosaic tiles and a massive rain shower head with coloured lights! You could tell that the owners had put a lot of thought and care into their decor choices and despite the fact that it is not a BnB, they still had a lovely Nespresso machine with pods, tea and coffee making facilities, cold water and mini juices in the fridge and a couple of light breakfast items/snacks. There was tonnes of storage for clothing and suitcases. The seaview balcony with a table and chairs and a sink was fabulous! We sunbaked in privacy and absolutely loved it! We really couldn't fault anything.

We loved it all! Just one suggestion to anyone staying who is a light sleeper-you may want to bring earplugs as the sea is incredibly noisy at night, when high.

Overpriced room with a nice balcony.

The balcony was great and it was especially nice that there was a sink and a clothes line for washing/hanging laundry.

Check-in left a lot to be desired. They need to figure out a better way to let guests into their rooms. We traveled for 12 hours and then had to wait more than 45 minutes in 90+ degree heat to be let into our room during the designated check-in time. This was despite my communicating exactly when our train would arrive. WiFi was spotty to nonexistent.

Loved our stay!

Beautiful apartment with amazing views from the living room. Host Virginia met us at the local pharmacy when we arrived. We were too early to check in but they held our luggage until the apartment was ready. They even helped us bring it to the apartment which was very helpful as there are some steps (maybe 20 or 30) leading up to it. Virginia was quick to respond via WhatsApp during our stay and we were thankful that they were able to get the apartment ready a little early for us. Air conditioning and WIFI worked well. Location is great. We did a boat ride with Nord Est which is based out of Vernazza so that was very convenient. Also great for hiking if you want to hike to Monterosso or Corniglia.

Bathroom is a little tight. Need to take quick showers as the water does not drain very well.

Amazing vantage point within Cinque Terre.

This apartment is within a quiet part of Vernazza - set back from the Main Street but within a 1 minute walk to get into town. It has an amazing view - we were able to watch the ferries and sunsets. Beautiful apartment - highly recommend booking!

The VIEW! Loved sleeping with the fresh air and sound of the waves. The location right in the middle of town was perfect and the host was great.

While this may be a European thing, it would be nice to have wash cloths for the shower.

Gorgeous studio in a beautiful location

The view, the balcony and the room itself were all amazing. Waters were replenished during the time we were there. Listening to the waves put my husband out each day super fast. The host met us at the train station and led us to our room, which was nice.

The shower was great, in theory. There is an impressively large rain shower spanning the entire shower with fancy lighting overhead, which of course my husband thought would be amazing to try. However, the shower enclosure was the weak point. The shower door did not have a bottom seal, the door did not stay closed and cracked open inward, and the water came down beyond the enclosure to where I was being misted while my husband showered when he asked me to investigate. The shower also did not drain well with all of the water put out by the huge rain shower head and in about 2 minutes, it was flooding out beyond the small lip of the basin without a seal to stop it. We had to turn it off, let it drain, clean the excess water, and then use the handheld to rinse. I used the handheld for showering the next morning and did notice the basin filling up fast. I turned off the handheld to soap up and then rinsed, which did not cause flooding but was not my ideal showering experience. To be completely fair, there was no chance to fix it as it was very late when my husband showered and we were leaving the next day. The stay was absolutely perfect beyond this shower issue. I believe these are fixable issues and we would be more than willing to stay again.

Great location, views and memories!

Location was great. Apartment was very clean. A/C worked well. View was spectacular. Hosts were receptive and available. cleaning of apartment was provided with fresh towels. Near restaurants. Hosts made great recommendations for dinner, which was very much appreciated.

Lots of stairs (uneven) to get to unit. Based on photos a deck was expected. Bathroom was quite small, lack of counter (shelf) space and shower was awkward (leaked onto floor and made it slippery). Minor in the big picture.

The bathroom needs attention. The valve on the sink leaks and one must keep towels around it to keep it from getting all over. The shower door doesn’t close properly and it’s a bit moldy. It can be quite loud with hikers passing by the front door and the door to the terrace doesn’t seal such that if there is a storm or strong wind, it whistles and bowels loudly. That door is also very drafty even with the curtain closed. Room is very small with no place to sit other than the bed (except for a small ottoman).

La Ripa gold suite offers great service and amazing sea view terrace, you will not want to leave.

Federico was an excellent host who communicated well, met us as we got off the train and allowed us to store luggage until room access was available . The room is large, very nicely appointed with the most amazing sea view from the balcony. We enjoyed our lunch from our hosts restaurant on our balcony and it was not only delicious but we of course had one of the best views in town. We were offered a discount at their seafood restaurant which was much appreciated. Seafood is fresh and there are delicious options would recommend La Ripa to anyone visiting Vernazza the gem of the Cinque Terre.

Central location yet quiet, clean, and great view!

Location was steps from train station, restaurants, shops, yet the apartment was quiet. It was also very clean with plenty of space for our stuff and for us to relax.

The shower didn't drain that quickly and backed up a bit. It did not bother us and would not deter me from staying here, but if someone enjoys long showers, this might not be optimal.

Great apartment in a great location

We loved this apartment! Great location, just a short walk from the train station up a few flights of stairs, with a great view of the ocean, especially from the living room. The path to Corniglia starts right at the bottom of the steps, and then another few steps to the restaurants and such. Beds were comfortable and kitchen with coffee machine etc. and a small laundry unit. Very minor complaints: the bedroom door doesn’t latch, there’s nowhere to put soap and shampoo in the shower, and not enough hooks in the bathroom. Otherwise, fantastic.

Cliff top view of The Med

The apartment/room was right on the cliff overlooking the sea. Quiet and the bed was very comfortable. They gave us good recommendations at restuarants where we enjoyed some really good food/atmosphere. Coffee in the room and bathroom was nice.

We ate at another restuarant for the sunset view and got served bad mussels... I got really sick but that had nothing to do with them. Which is why I appreciated the nice bathroom LOL!

Good location near the centre of the village, nice and clean inside, comfortable bedding. good shower. espresso machine in the room and mini fridge.

main door is not sound proof so there’s a lot of noise from people going up and down the steps outside the room and there’s also a lot of noise from work being done outside the entrance door

life isn’t perfect - but this place is as close as you could get.

breakfast not included) The location was excellent with walking trails in both directions very close. The balcony was lovely with the ocean sounds lapping out our door, and with a clothes line! The host very kind and helpful, and met us at the train station, also was helpful when we asked. The bed was comfortable and warm .

Unfortunately, the safe was not working at time. The water heater would run out of hot water by the the second persons turn to shower .
