Close to amenities but really quiet, fabulous rooftop views
What a little gem of a property, full of character, the roof terrace was awesome. Lovely cool rooms, plenty of hot water for the shower, comfortable beds and really peaceful. Just what we needed after a day of walking. Close to all amenities.
It wasn't a problem for us, but there are a lot of steep steps as the property is over 4 floors.

Beautiful appartement with roof terrace in the centre of Vernazza
The location of the appartment is fantastic, in the centre of Vernazza. It was clean and had everything we needed. It was well stocked with toiletries and things like dishwasher tablets. Sitting on the roof terrace is particularly lovely. As other reviewers have said the are three, quite steep, marble stair cases in the appartement. This wasn't a problem for us and as all of the Cinque Terre villages are built into the side of mountains there are a lot of stairs everywhere.
There isn't much soft seating in the living room (a two seater sofa and armchair). Having said that we sat either on the roof terrace, or played board games at the dining table, so didn't cause a big issue. Overall it's a beautiful place and I would go back.

Noisy even with windows closed. Perhaps advice that there are 3 levels with steep steps would be helpful. Floor was not clean. No tourist guide information provided or any how to's. Very limited provisions unlike other air bnb we stayed at.

Vernazza was amazing place to visit. Carattino is in a great location. Easy to reach from train.

There weren't any mirrors. To say that it is ocean view is a stretch. We were told we could store our luggage at the store down stairs but weren't told there was a fee. We were charged around 37Euro for just a little over an hour while we went up the street to breakfast.

The apartment will not suit people with mobility issues, or young children.
Location near the station and in the heart of the town.
The stairs were way too steep, narrow and dangerous. Property not suitable for elderly or children. We could not take our heavy luggage up stairs due to how steep the stairs were. This was the same problem to access kitchen and balcony. There was a table and 2 chairs outside but would not consider it a nice outdoor area. The stairs meant we could not enjoy the property. The train station has no lift, so if you have heavy luggage you have to take down stairs yourself.
