The Jungle House - Hakuba

Great friendly host, spacious house perfect for big group, good location and great to have the van.

Jake was an excellent local host with lots of knowledge. Made the logistics very easy with courtesy pick up from Hakuba station and use of the 4WD van during our stay. Multiple bathrooms available and modernised facilities throughout the property. Very suitable for large families or groups.

Showers were a little tight, but worked well.

The house is very large and well-equipped with everything you'll need in the kitchen as well as some games (including video games) in the living room/game room. Our group of 10 was able to very comfortably hang out in the same room together without feeling cramped. My personal favorite part is the bath which gets very hot and is great after a long day snowboarding. The house also has plenty of space to hang your snow gear to dry for the next day. Each room has a small balcony with great views of a mountain from the front side of the house and views of the woods out the back. The house is in a residential area but is still very private, especially with all the snow walls. The area is also nice and quiet. Finally, the staff responds quickly and we're very informative when we were deciding what to drive and what to pack and even messaged us during our stay to make sure we were having a good time. I can't wait for our next stay here!

Our group of 10 had nothing negative to say about their stay here. We all really felt at home during our stay. If I could give the next guests advice, I would say eat early if you want to eat out. With the restaurants closing early due to COVID, it was hard to find a place after about 6:30-7 that would take us. Luckily we had a great big kitchen to cook in, though!
