The room and yard were beautiful, and Catherine was an incredible host. We rented bikes from nearby Muides, which Catherine was happy to arrange for us ahead of time as we were coming to France from Canada. She even went out of her way to drive us to/from the bike shop, and picked up one of us from Chambord the next day when my partner was feeling ill. The breakfasts were excellent, room was modern and comfortable, and we had a great time!

Comfortable b&b with gourmand accent in a strategic position for visiting the Loire region!

Breakfast was outstanding! Every morning we were there, the owner surprised us with a display of delicate and well-thoughtout dishes, using local products and herbs from her garden. She sent us out on our daily explorations well fed and satisfied

The only thing we found a bit difficult was taking showers in a bathtub

Catherine is such a great person. Gave us some tips on what to do. Her place is very well made, good quality materials, spacious rooms, comfy bed and tailor made breakfast! A gem Better value for money than other 4 stars in the area. Room is high ceiling and very spacious. Very diff than any typical hotel. Plus you're 10min away from chambord.

Magnificent stay at the heart of the Loire

The rooms are well designed with a remarkable eye for detail and quality and have provided all the comfort we wished for. Positioned in the separate building on the domain, it was heavenly quiet during both day and night and gave an extra level of privacy. Catherine, the host, is most exceptional in the way she welcomes her guests, gives tailormade advice on what to do throughout the Loire region, and is extremely helpful upfront, during, and after your stay. Moreover, she each day prepares a rather unconventional, yet most wonderful breakfast adapted to your preferences. She has lifted the already great stay to the next level (if not, several levels up) with her warm personality and her personal, much appreciated touch!

Mer is a small, tranquil village where, except for some local shops and a park, is not too much to do. However, it's at the center of the must-visit places in the Loire and is therefore ideal to start exploring!

The rooms are beautiful and quiet with good quality bedding and lots of space. The house itself is charming and well located very close to Chambord or other Loire Valley castles. We stayed two nights and the two breakfasts were different but each time generous and creative made with local and organic products. We also ate two dinners at L'eau Vive and both were delicious and nicely presented. Finally, the host was perfectly welcoming and gave us nice tips on what to do and see in the area.

Beautiful historic house

Beautiful historic house, wonderful combination of old elements and modern touches. Huge room with annex boudoir, very comfortable beds, spotlessly clean. Quiet and peaceful with a nice garden, to sit and relax. Gourmet breakfast. Very friendly and helpful host.

Un séjour confortable et reposant

Nous avons étés accueillis chaleureusement par notre hôte. La chambre était bien plus grande que l'impression en photo, propre ++ et décorée avec goût. Nous avions accès à un très grand espace commun dans lequel nous pouvions utiliser un frigo, une cuisine, une salle à manger et un coin salon : tout était parfait. Bonus : nous avons pu profiter du jardin commun et de grignoter un bout sur une table avec vue sur le clocher ⛪ Grands plus : - la literie était impeccable et particulièrement confortable - la climatisation nous a sauvés pendant la forte chaleur ! Nous recommandons fortement ! 👌🏻
